An okay place to stay if you need a nightly hotel while traveling through Elko, NV. The place is clean, service and checkin all good, blackout curtains are a plus, but the bed was very, very uncomfortable. A no frills place. We won't stay here again.

Clean and quiet

Posted 16-Jul-2017 on Hotels
It was a clean and quiet place to stay. There wasn't too much to do in the immediate vicinity, but it is only 10-15 minutes from downtown Elko by car.

Value Hotel

This is a budget hotel, so there are no frills, The bathroom vanity is right when you walk into the room and not in the bathroom and the towels are thin. It's clean and in good condition. I was looking for a lower price and this was much lower than the name brand hotels and nicer than the old motels on the main street. It's close to Starbuck's, the grocery stores and the highway so easy so easy access to everything we needed while visiting family.

Didn't care about a missing child!

Posted 27-Jun-2017 on Hotels
We had the most HORRIBLE experience at the Oak Tree Inn in Elko this morning. Our 8 year old grandson and their spaniel pup who got spooked by the maid's vacuum in the hall and got off the leash, got separated from our daughter, her 2 other kids, and older blind dog. Daughter looking frantically and trying to get to us to help her, and the desk clerk told her to stop running around and be quiet because they had crews of shift workers asleep. She was informed there's a lost child, and she told my daughter to shush. We ran into her talking to a maid on our floor and she scolded my daughter for making noise. I said there's a lost child and she told me to be quiet. So I yelled at her that we have a LOST CHILD DO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT! She told me again to be quiet. By then I was ready to call 911. Grandpa found the boy and dog a few minutes later. Got daughter kids and dogs on their way. Grandpa and Grandma went to have a discussion with the clerk and she was almost flippant about it. I wish I'd called the police! When I asked for the manager I was told she was out, so I said you better get her back here now. I finally talked to her. We were reserved for tonight there but I said I want a refund and we're leaving. If they have that many shift work crews there for long term stays they need to post a notice so others are aware. They need more training. While my grandson was missing one of the maids locked him outside, shoved him out the door and hit the dog! I'm beyond angry!

Very clean and quiet

Posted 08-Jun-2017
Pros: The rooms are comfortable.
Cons: The beds are very hard. They could use better mattresses.
Location: It is close to the highway entrance and to shopping.
I come through Elko every three weeks and this is where I usually stay. It is always very quiet and clean.

No frills but a good deal

Posted 07-Jun-2017 on Hotels
I was passing through on my way to Idaho abut wound up getting a migraine so stopped in Elko for the night. It was very late so was happy they had a room left. The corridors were quiet. I appreciated the black out curtains especially because of the aforementioned migraine. The bed was a bit hard but definitely not beyond reasonable. The whole facility is nonsmoking which is what I needed. The only thing that could have made it better is if the employees did not sit right next to the entrance door while smoking. I had to walk through the smoke. In fairness, the smoke was not overwhelming but still would have appreciated it if they were further away from the door.
