Excellent hotel in the centre of Edinburgh

Excellent hotel in the centre of Edinburgh with a beautiful view of the hotel . Our room was very large , very clean and the service was great . Food in the restaurant was excellent .

Superb Hotel looking upon the Edinburgh Castle

Pros: Everything.
Cons: I was completely lost on the shower controls.
Location: Lots of things to do, near the great tourist centre and the city's core.
From the start, this hotel was fantastic. The building is fantastic matched by friendly, helpful staff. I came to celebrate my birthday in luxury and was not disappointed as the hotel provided me with a bottle of wine, a fruit basket and some chocolates to celebrate. The room and bed was great with wi-if access making for a comfortable stay. Hotel is easy to get to and located within walking distance to the castle and the Royal Mile. As a fan of The Big Lebowski, it is near an inspired pub called Lebowski's that is a must for any fan. The Caley Bar is loaded with whiskers which me and my brother enjoyed sampling.

Pros: 部屋の広さ、重厚な作り。 スタッフのホスピタリティーにあふれた対応。
Cons: バスタブのお湯の水圧
Location: 観光の中心にあり、徒歩で市内を観光するのに最高のロケイション。ウィーバリー駅に近く列車でスコットランドの他の都市への移動にも便利。
エディンバラ城、ロイヤルマイルに最高のロケイション。空港エキスプレスバスを降りてすぐ、ウェストエンドの美味しいレストランも近く、素晴らしいエディンバラ観光が楽しめました。ホテルの部屋も広くて重厚な作りに驚きました。バスのお湯の水圧が低く貯めるのに時間がかかったのが唯一のマイナス点です。スタッフの対応も親切でホスピタリティーにあふれた対応でした。朝食も素晴らしく、通常のホテルの朝食に加えて、スコットランドの伝統的な料理も楽しめました。2泊の滞在でしたがもっと長く過ごしたかったです。

excellent location!!

Pros: The location and the building are fabulous..The staff wonderful except for the gentleman who gave me that room...
With Hilton Honors I was given the smallest room, furthest from the elevator (not sure if it was still in the hotel) so small there wasn't even a dresser so I lived out of my suit case for 3 days!!

Comfort near Edinburgh Castle

Hotel is grand with wide hallways, traditional decor and spacious rooms. The hotel is very clean and appears recently renovated, yet still felt stuffy and a bit dated maybe due to the very traditional decor. The staff was very helpful, courteous and professional as one expects from a Waldorf property.

Great location, Plenty of Superb Staff on Hand

Hotel is in great central location for Edinburgh and its surrounding attractions. the hotel staff were superb, couldn't have been more helpful although it is a prestigious hotel, the staff were down to earth and made families with kids feel very welcome Highly recommend this spacious and luxurious hotel

Great staff, fabulous food

The room we stayed in was small but comfortable and the shower was amazing. The food is the real selling point. Could not fault the breakfast or the evening meal in the gal in brothers brassrrie. The spa was a little lacking and could be improved but was clean and the staff were also lovely.

Expected hospitality at a Waldorf - did not happen

Cons: See the review!!!! They did not have a sense of hospitality and accommodation.
Location: ITs Edinburgh
We had Guaranteed Late Checkout at 4:00 pm - at 1:30 when we returned to our room the door key was changed and we found our room left open with no one around! This was the final failing in a string of incidents that added up to disappointment for a "5 star" hospitality experience. 1) We asked about going to a hotel restaurant at 9:00 in the evening and were told they closed at 10:00 and we could not be served at this time - it was empty. 2) Our theater tickets were not at the Concierge Desk as expected - they did not offer to call the theater and confirm that our tickets would be honored - we went and the Theater was perfect. (but we got no support from the concierge) 3) We stepped out to the street for a cab several times and the Doorman went inside passing us and leaving us to get our own taxi - this we repeated even when we requested a taxi as we were leaving with luggage. 4) We asked to consolidate two reservations when we checked in and they required that I come back the second day - they did not know how to handle. 5) our floor was under renovation, why put us on that floor? were all floors being renovated???

Our Galvin Brasserie De Luxe serves until 10pm most nights and we always accommodate our hotel residents. I understand that the concierge team and a member of guest relations tried reaching you several times throughout the day and when they did get you you advised that it was ok as you were planning to collect tickets at the theatre as they had not sent them. We are renovating two rooms on each floor of the hotel but are careful to ensure work does not happen at weekends and before 9am or after 5pm through the week and have had no complaints regarding this for the last 7 weeks.
