Apart from a truly beautiful deluxe room with excellent views, the George is substandard for what you pay. Here's what I found very disappointing: first, there are no parking facilities and the only self parking location they referred us to was a mile away. Second, they have only one consierge on duty, which results in a long wait for service (15mins on average). Third, only one elevator was operating on the deluxe room wing - resulting in long lines and stupidly long waits. The second elevator was down for 4 of the 5 days we stayed, and was still not operating when we checked out. Inexcusable for a high end hotel. Fourth, hotel reception staff was polite enough but totally unresponsive when they saw lines at the consierge desk or anywhere else; they never took the initiative to step in and offer to help.
