Smart little room close to major attractions

Posted 28-Dec-2016
The room is compact but comfortable, reception staff are excellent - very friendly and genuine welcome. There were a couple of minor points that let the room down a little - the floor didn't look entirely clean with a few crumbs etc scattered around the kitchen and the kettle's spout filter was broken. These were however very minor issues and elsewhere the cleanliness looked spot on. Overall, a good stay, and I would definitely consider staying again in the future if I was in the area.

Muy lindo!

Posted 21-Nov-2016

Very solid location for downtown Edinburgh.

Posted 10-Oct-2016
Pros: The receptionists were very helpful when we had questions. We appreciated having laundry facilities on site.
Cons: We had trouble finding the place. You need to go in a little driveway before you can see the entrance and the sign was hard to see.
Location: I loved climbing Arthur's Seat. We started near the parliament buildings. Next time we would chose the shorter route that starts close by.
The apartment had everything that we needed. We are big people and the bathroom is tiny and the apartment doesn't have any extra space but it worked very well for us and we were very comfortable staying there for five nights. We walked to the train station (about 15 minutes) and we walked to the castle and parliament buildings.

Nice to come home to!

Posted 07-Oct-2016 on Orbitz
Pros: I loved the location. Was so easy to get to and it was close to the "Mile". Also you could get a cab in less that 5 minutes!
Cons: The internet. I had a lot of issues staying on line.
Location: There is a great Tesco nearby! Went there often because of the great kitchen facilities.
Absolutely loved knowing after the end of the day, I had this nice spacious area to come back to. Overall the facility was great. Very clean. However, this is in a college dorm, so Saturday nights could get quite noisy. Also there was construction in the floors above us. They would work will into the wee hours of the night and you would hear them throw items in the dumpster and roll things across the floor. I am guessing after that is completed this would be a wonderful experience. Another thing that was a big hangup for me was that the internet was spotty. Would go in and out. I would try to FaceTime my family and it would constantly go out. But overall it was in a great location. Tesco was right around the corner!

student accommodation?!

Posted 13-Sep-2016
Great location, only a 15 minute walk to the city centre and lots of bars and restaurants close by. However this was student accommodation which was not mentioned when booking and was a shock when we arrived. The room was quite small but clean and therefore overpriced for the type of accommodation.

Edinburgh surprize break!

Posted 10-Sep-2016 on Hotels
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at richmond place, the apartment was split over a mezzanine level and very modern also fully equipped. You are situated approximately 15 minutes walk from princes street gardens which is the centre of Edinburgh but this is a easy walk.

Adequate for access to old city area of Edinburgh

Posted 05-Sep-2016 on Orbitz
Very pricy during high season (Fringe time). Odd, chopped-up space on two internal levels. Perfectly functional, with kitchenette. Not appealing aesthetically, just a place to lay your head. Breakfast adequate, but not up to the standards of a respectable Scottish B&B. And there was an extra charge for it, because we were in a unit with a kitchenette (but we couldn't have cooked our own breakfast unless we had shopped for the food and brought it back to cook, all for one night's stay).

Good Base

Friendly staff who checked us in early. We could leave our luggage at no cost after checking out. The apartments are student accommodation so are basic, but have everything that we needed and were clean. Walking distance from Royal Mile and South Bridge, so handy for everything and five mins to Arthur's Seat.

Student accommodation close to many fringe events

Posted 28-Aug-2016
Pros: Location & room facilities
Cons: WI-Fi
Location: Close to many fringe events, about 2 minutes from the closest. But very quiet location
Quiet rooms, no outlook from window, very close to lots of events. Having small bedroom upstairs and a separate living room was ideal for us, as was having little kitchen area.
