A close walk to the station and a nice hotel. The breakfast choices were good and the hotel staff were very attentive. The receptionists were always pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely stay there again if we came back to Edinburgh.

The hotel is lovely and the staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. I would definitely stay there again. There's a lift to the floors and the decor is beautiful. The hotel is very close to the centre of town and within easy walking distance for trains, buses and trams for the airport. I didn't have breakfast in my week there as I was meeting family but I overheard others saying how much they enjoyed theirs.

In the room the bathroom lighting was too bright. A dimmer with LED lighting would help for seniors that have to get up in the middle of the night to pee. The lights next to the bed are also need a better switch.

It was modern, clean and very comfortable! There was a very steep hill from the train station up to the hotel, therefore wouldn’t be great for those who have mobility issues! On the other hand, really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!:)

We loved the location - at the bottom of Calton Hill, very close to Edinburgh Waverley station and Princes Street (but very quiet). Staff welcoming and helpful. Excellent choices at breakfast. We had asked in advance for room with bath/overhead shower and this is what we were given. Room was clean/ comfortable and had kettle/tea/coffee/etc plus shortbread and a fridge. There was a small TV. Would have liked bigger bath towels but otherwise all to our liking.

A charming, characterful, period hotel within 5 minutes of the heart of Edinburgh. The interior of the hotel has been recently refreshed with a restrained 'Scottish' theme. The staff were all very helpful. The breakfast menu was extensive and well cooked. As is so often the case, the coffee was poor.

Great location within walking distance to Princes St and the Royal Mile. The staff was friendly, speedy, and helpful. The room had wonderful little touches like complimentary shortbread. I stayed in two different rooms during my stay— both double rooms but one room had two twins pushed together and the place where the beds met was a tad uncomfortable. But my second room had a proper double bed. Would love to come back again!

A short walk from the train station and just next to Carlton Hill, conveniently located in central Edinburgh. The rooms are clean and spacious, staff were very friendly. Nothing to pick fault at.

Excellent location in centre of Edinburgh
Excellent location, not far from Waverly and Princes St. Traditional Scottish interior decor. The only negative point was that for some reason the heating in the bathroom was far too hot. As I arrived at the hotel late in the evening and was only staying for one night, I didn't complain, but if I'd have been staying for longer I would definitely have asked for this to be fixed.

Beds far too soft Really hot and not able to turn down the heating or open the windows. Quite a lot or dirt, dust etc. A bottle of water in the room would have been appreciated. Difficult to work the shower and when managed only a small trickle of water and freezing cold

Excellent location as was very central and within walking distance of majority of attractions. Well sized room considering the central location too. Only minor negative would be the screen on the shower was too small so water splashes out but everything else with the room was spot on!

Wow! We had an amazing time in Edinburgh and our stay at Parliament House Hotel was a large part of that experience. The location cannot be beat. It is walkable to all of the things one would want and easy access to public transport for anywhere necessary beyond walking distance. Our room was well appointed, we appreciated the mini fridge in room, as well as the lounge area with sitting areas to enjoy a drink from the hotel’s bar. We only had the breakfast once during our stay, but it was tasty and filling. The desk staff was friendly and helpful - especially when our luggage missed the connecting flight and had to be delivered the next day. Honestly, everything was simply fabulous and we highly recommend this accommodation.

This is a great hotel in the middle of the city centre. Walkable to old town, new town, etc. Very nice hotel with friendly staff and clean rooms.

Friendly helpful staff. Good customer service. We got to Edinburgh earlier than expected. We originally planned to drop our bags off and go for lunch. They found us an available room and checked in early. Excellent location within walking distance of Edinburgh Waverley Station and tram/bus links to the airport. Would stay here again.

Hotel was in walking distance to most places we wanted to visit.The hop on off buses were across the road,for further afield trips.Staff were all friendly and helpful.The hotel had a warm atmosphere.The bed was really comfortable.The bathroom needed a bit of TLC,but everywhere was very clean.
