The property located on Cockburn road is very near to Royal Mile and the train station which is very convenient. You can just walk to visit the Edinburgh castle and other attractions and then walk up to the apartment. Love it about this. Any busking stop at 10pm and the place become quiet and breezy. Restaurants and groceries are all nearby. Halal Thai and Mediteranean restaurants all nearby.
The condition of the apartment is in good condition, nothing broken down. The weather was breezy and cool, so we did not need air conditioning. Anyway, we could not find the remote control for the thermostat.
We could not get the radiatior heater going either at night. The Management was very responsive and able to get back to me within the day with help but still no heater.
There is a washing machine but no dryer. They do provide drying rack.
Cockburn road is not accessible by car, Google Map will direct you to Market street and then walk up to Cockburn street. We spent half hour driving around to look for car access at 10pm at night. This a third storey apartment with no lift. Not accessible in wheel chair. All the lights of the stairwell were out and we had to manouver in the darkness carrying heavy luggages up 3 floors. Street parking only available and it is 5 min walk away.
Except for the fact there is no lift and not accessible by car, this place do grow on you. It was enjoyable staying there. Thank you
