Room was HUGE in comparison to most we have stayed in while in Europe. Could use a little updating, but clean and perfect for our quick stay. Great location (adjacent to) to the train station, and a few fun pubs on the square. Also close to get to bus that takes you directly to the airport.

Booked a basic room at a good price for overnight in Glasgow. Bed was very comfortable and bathroom towels lovely and fluffy. Room a bit tired but ok. Didn’t eat in hotel but had drink in bar. A bit of background music in this area would have been nice. Staff at check in/check out very friendly as was the lady serving in bar. Location for us was excellent and right beside Queen Street Station.

Hotel with some character - lovely staircase and corridors - and with some rooms overlooking St George's Square. I enjoyed being able to sit in the dining room for breakfast looking out on the Square.

Above and beyond attitude and effort of all staff members to make the guests feel welcome and properly looked after. The hotel is located perfectly amongst shopping and dining areas and places competing with each other to offer better goods and services. Transport to and from the hotel is faultless - there are train, bus and taxi connections literally at the doorstep. The rooms are charming, very clean and very comfortable. An absolute pleasure to stay at this hotel and without any doubt worth coming back to.

Fading gem
Very central hotel by George Square in Glasgow. Grand building but needs a face lift. Carpets worn and decor shabby. Lovely staff. Rooms big and spacious, bathroom in my from was bigger than some hotel rooms! But again had a very run down look with stains on carpet, setting and walls. This hotel needs some investment!

Visit regularly so know it well. I’m always placed on upper floors- with large bath/ shower in bath- which is increasingly dangerous for older persons. Great pity they don’t serve dinner..however I will hopefully stay again

Never again!
This poor place has been left in the 1980s, it’s in terrible need of plenty of TLC. The first room offered had broken furniture and mould around the bath. The second had a small double bed and very little room to move around it. The shower curtain rail hangs on a rusty chain, there are to many cracked tiles to count and a badly cracked toilet base. Apparently the place was so busy we couldn’t even pay for an upgrade! A locked front door after midnight with no keycard access means you are left waiting outside until someone comes to let you in. Would we stay again? Absolutely not!! Would we recommend it? Absolutely not!! It’s only redeeming feature is it’s staff, with the exception of one night member who left us waiting outside 8 minutes.

Lovely hotel
Hotel was lovely, staff were very polite and helpful. We had a double room with two single beds, room was huge, and had everything you needed in it (hairdryer, iron, ironing board and safe). Only problem we had was the room next door to us came home drunk and had a massive full blown argument all night, due to the very thin walls between rooms, we heard ever word and didn’t get much sleep. This was not the hotels fault, and due to only staying for one night, there was not point in trying to get moved. Overall very clean hotel with lovely staff and would definitely recommend due to location for Glasgow shopping.
