Three nights in Edinburgh, business

Posted 12-Nov-2016
Pros: Calm, efficient, clean - no surprises - good for business stay.
Cons: It didn't eat at the hotel, because the menu wasn't that interesting. Standard fare, and doesn't compete with the many options on offer in Edinburgh.
Location: It's Edinburgh - everything within walking distance. Good to be that close to Holyrood Park as well.
Clean, tidy, efficient. Decent sized room on the first floor, good bathroom though the bath over shower arrangement is a bit squashed. Had to fix the hanging rail in the cupboard before hanging anything on it, but apart from that no worries. Bed was comfortable. Late night room service - hot chocolate and biscuits - was quick and efficient. Overall, nothing to write home about, nothing to complain about.

It was ok, a bit far to walk to the centre but things went well. Parking was expensive and bed want that comfortable

Pros: Comfort of room, very clean and excellent customer service
Cons: Location could have been a little closer to castle but really not that much of an issue. Our stay was thoroughly enjoyable
Location: Close to holyrood palace and the royal mile

In nice quiet area close to many attractions

Posted 03-Oct-2016
Pros: See above. Really appreciated the staff.
Cons: Place feels a little tired.
Location: See above.
This is not the most modern/up-to-date hotel but it was a pleasant stay. Pool and sauna were being updated and that would have been nice to know before booking. Room size was wonderful and rooms were very clean but an update here would be nice. I personally liked the location - at the end of the Royal Mile - near the Holyrood Palace, the Scottish Parliament and Arthur's Seat - but some may find it a little far. I can't say enough nice things about Frank the concierge; so friendly and helpful. Overall, I enjoyed my stay there but if you're looking for a modern facility, this isn't your place.

Older hotel close to Holyrood Park

Posted 22-Sep-2016
Pros: Location
Cons: A firmer mattress, new couch, and new carpet/floor would be great.
Location: A five minute walk to Holyrood Palace, as well as Arthur's Seat (my highlight of visiting Edinburgh) and just off the bottom of the Royal Mile.
Great location close to Holyrood Park, Palace, and Royal Mile. Close to a Tesco Express and a couple of restaurants. I was under-impressed with the hotel room itself, which was a good size but with a sunken mattress and sunken/older couch.

缺點:飯店地點離waverley station頗遠,位於舊城區的石板路拖行李很不方便,飯店未事先告知早餐須收取多少費用。優點:房間整體來說蠻舒適的。

Little bit of luxury down near the Royal Mile

Posted 19-Sep-2016
Pros: up market and luxurious lobby and entrance hall.
Cons: some fo the wood work around the wardrobe was a bit tired looking
Location: open top bus tours 2 mins away at Holyrood palace/ stright onto Crags and A Seat/ Royal Mile/ great cafes/ restaurants/ pubs /
We enjoyed a one night stay in a twin room. There was limited view of the Crags but as we were out and about this didnt matter. The beds were comfy, lots of hot water for a bath, tea bags and a air conditioning that you could switch off. The reception staff were very polite and friendly as were other members of staff that we passed in the corridor. Great location for cafes/restaurants/ open top bus tours/
