Great little home away from home

Posted 24-Oct-2016
Pros: Clean, loved the small clothes washer/dryer & dishwasher, air conditioning, all utensils provided, decent sized fridge, elevator. Lots of pillows.
Cons: A chest of drawers for clothes. There are a lot of nooks to put things in but it would be easier if all the clothes were in one location.
Location: Located down a side street, one block off from a main thoroughfare and 2 blocks away from the main street (Prince Street).
All in all, an excellent place to stay. A couple blocks away from the Airlink bus stop and a few blocks away from the closest food store. On the same street as the Cambridge Bar, which had incredible burgers. The staff was great in helping us book some tours and call for taxis when needed. We stayed for a week and found this to be the perfect home away from home. We stayed in the Superior room, which is a little bigger than the regular room. We made breakfast each morning, which saved us time and money, and was able to wash our clothes mid-week so we didn't have to pack as much. We hooked up my wife's computer to the TV (via HDMI) and was able to catch up on or TV shows or movies at night after a long day of touring. Very comfortable environment.

Perfect aparthotel for visiting Edingburgh

Posted 09-Aug-2016 on Hotels
We (30M 29F) had a wonderful long weekend at the Stewart building of the Fountain Court Apartments. The Stewart is situated in the center of Edinburgh, which puts most attractions within walking distance. The apartment itself is spacious, modern and well kept. We were given an apartment at the top floor and facing the backstreet. The only downside is that the backstreet can be a bit noisy from commercial activities (offloading trucks; garbage disposal; etc), but that's only because we prefer to keep the windows open. When the windows are closed the noise is a lot less present. The air conditioning in the bedroom is superb and can cool the entire apartment in record time. Other highlights include a great shower, TV's in both bedroom and living area and a very neatly tucked away washing machine. The only thing we would improve on are the beds which, while comfy, were a bit small. All in all a great aparthotel. Recommended!

Excellent location for visit to Edinburgh

Posted 12-Jul-2016 on Hotels
These apartments are superb in terms of their central location for sightseeing in Edinburgh and in what they offer as an apartment. Within walking distance are the key places to visit as a tourist in Edingburgh, including being next door to one of 'Rebus's and Ian Rankin's pubs! There are any number of restaurants offering a wide variety of food from daybreak to dusk. We started off in apartment 19 at the rear of the property, where one of us found the extractor fan on the opposite building, operating 24/7 at an intrusive level - however the really helpful receptionist arranged a move to apartment 12 at the front of the building, which was great. Ear plugs are provided and there is air conditioning and double glazing, and after all it is in the centre of town. We would definitely stay here again.

Mess up and poor communication

Posted 07-Jul-2016
Expedia package booked flights and fountain court Stewart. Rang to inform late arrival told site changed to EQ2. Later rang EQ2 and was informed was transferred to Royal garden. NO communication from either fountain hotels or EXPEDIA ! Very poor service. No apology as yet for change and moving further out than booked.

They reserved £100 on our credit card when we arrived, to cover for any damages which is fine but the information on this should be clearer before arriving at the hotel. Other than this, we were very pleased with the hotel and would absolutely recommend it.
