Beautiful resort

Posted 21-Jul-2017
Very friendly staff at check in, room was fabulous, just wish the spa/pool wasn't open later so that we could go for a relaxing dip after a long day of being active tourists!

Adequate but nothing special

Posted 16-Jul-2017
Location: Close to airport is its biggest selling point
Being an airport hotel, I didn't have high hopes, but this place did appear to be nicer than your average "flying out in the morning" sleepover (and the rooms were in fact nicer than average airport hotels). Parking is far from the rooms, and the hallways are dingy and sad. I entered from the back of the hotel and was not pleased. While there are elevators, there are also several places where you can only take the stairs, so there is no relief from dragging suitcases around. My room was 4 doors down from a wedding, so I got to listen to drunken guests socializing in the hallway and booming music & microphones until about midnight. Who has a wedding at an airport hotel? The restaurant served good food and the waitstaff was great. The bathroom was nice and there is a mini fridge. The room is nicely furnished. I'd only recommend this place if you can be assured of not being near a hotel event. The restaurant served good food and the waitstaff was great. The bathroom was nice and there is a mini fridge. The room is nicely furnished.

Overnight stay

Posted 15-Jul-2017
Pros: The bedroom was comfortable and reception staff very friendly and helpful
Cons: The bar staff were not attentive and it appeared they just couldn't be bothered to assist guests
Location: The location is fine and within easy reach of Edinburgh airport and city centre beyond
My wife and I arrived in late afternoon and ordered scones and coffee. The coffee was very bitter and cold and it was replaced. I specifically asked for butter and jam but recieved clotted cream and jam. It took nearly twenty minutes after getting the coffee and receiving the scones by which time the coffee was cold. It was apparent the waiters couldn't remember simple instructions. The evening bar staff were not very attentive. I was not impressed with the hotel and would not recommend it.

Excellent Hotel Near Airport

Posted 10-Jul-2017
This was a gem of a hotel very near the airport. We needed a good place to stay before flying to Heathrow then to Seattle. The hotel was very nice - a mix of old and new. Our room was in the new section with a large room, sitting area, and large bath with heated floor. We had dinner in the restaurant - it was first class - aged filet - very nice. We used the SPA facilities - just a few steps outside. Enjoyed the pool, sauna, and steam room. Overall very nice experience.

Nice hotel - mixture of old and new.

Posted 29-Jun-2017
Pros: Food, beds, rooms, staff.
Cons: Allow unrestricted access to pool for children.
Disappointed at restricted swimming times for children, but the manager was very accommodating and let us use it for 30 mins anyway.

Very nice hotel locatated in a quiet area. The smal road to get there is really beautiful. Our room was located in the new part and it was spacious and cleaan. The bed was confortable too. The breakfast was good with a lot a choices.

Relaxing spa break

Posted 02-May-2017
Pros: Everything
Cons: Could have been longer
Location: Used the spa and hotel Brasserie very satisfied.
Took my wife for a break to relax away from the kids on her birthday. The hotel was excellent, but must mention the meal we had in the Brasserie which was fantastic. Great break and one happy recharged mum.
