Old hotel. Nice bar/restaurant. Stuffy room

Posted 23-Aug-2016
Bar was nice. Restaurant was nice. Room was small and stuffy, dated and noisy. Shower curtain rail was rusty. Many better hotels available for the money

Sure it was grand...

Pros: Location, faded grandeur
Because of location, if you don't have seaview, you don't have any view. Room very small, clean but not v smart for price

Great hotel, friendly staff and amazing breakfast!

Posted 18-Aug-2016
The hotel is close to the lanes, pubs and restaurants so you do not need a car. The hotel itself is impressive and offers a friendly welcome. The rooms are great with lots of space. We would defiantly return to the grande, best uk holiday yet!

A proper piece of old fashioned luxury, maybe a bit old for some, but the staff have class

Lives up to it's name.

Pros: The overall sense of understated grandeur. I felt I had been transported to an Agatha Christie film set. Lovely.
Cons: Some of the paintwork was a little shabby in places but the bilyding is old so only to ve expected really.
Location: Right on the sea front and we were lucky enough to gave a balcony with sea view. Lots to do in Brighton.
Lovely hotel, excellent staff and a great breakfast. Our overall stay felt very special even though we were only there for one night.

Beautiful hotel

Posted 24-Jul-2016
Pros: Everything
Cons: Not much
Location: Sea front. Central. Handy for Dome, Pavillion and pier
We stayed 2 nights for a graduation ceremony. Very attentive staff, beautifully maintained. excellent selection at breakfast. Still drooling about the chicken & mango sandwich mmmmm. Lovely bedroom. Everything was just perfect for us
