There was nothing particularly wrong with the hotel but it was very pricey and I would describe as a “posh” Premier Inn I wouldn’t stay again and wouldn’t recommend

Perfect for a short break in the centre of town
Hotel is very plush and in a great location. Bar staff particularly good and front desk very friendly. Breakfast is also good.

Friendly staff
Good location, friendly staff, bar staff attentive and hard working. Nice room but Aircon didn't really cool the room down, so ended up turning off the rad in the bathroom and opening the bedroom window even in December to keep cool enough, then listened to Brighton nightlife until 5am. Lanes Car Park is about £40 per day so bear that in mind if taking a car.

Quiet and Comfy
All the staff were very polite, extremely efficient and immensely professional. As for the bedroom and bathroom, they were immaculate, well presented with all the mod cons but!, my favourite place was the super comfy double bed. I will be back….:)

This is a great hotel, with a fab bar and very friendly staff. We didn’t use the restaurant for an evening meal, but it looked popular and breakfast was good. We had a standard double room which was a good size, lovely linen and the hotel was well presented. Only minor issue for us was an early start as our room was on the first floor overlooking the side road and so we had some noise with bins being moved. We will definitely go back again.

Overall good stay. Staff excellent. Dining & bar options on site were great. Convenient location to shopping, bars and restaurants. Heating/AC in my room had annoying whine/high-pitched noise when running, might interfere with some people’s sleep, so ensure you dont have this problem

A very charming and clean hotel located close to the water, shops, and restaurants. It is very walkable. The staff are friendlier than in other hotels I've stayed at, especially Kat and Agata, they always greeted us and made sure we were enjoying our stay. Although we did not eat at the Bistro, the bar area is beautiful, felt like something out of a movie, and friendly service. Overall, I would recommend this to someone who likes a quieter boutique-like hotel, over the more commercialized ones. And the perfect location for walking to anywhere.

Not as good as other hotel du vins
We stayed in a standard room that was a good size and comfortable. Nice to have tea , coffee and water refreshment. Would have been nice to have a robe and slippers. Sharme about the rain as the gutters need attention and we’re overflowing waking us very early with the noise outside our closed window.

Fantastic from start to finish
Was visiting Brighton for a gig in nearby venue. This hotel was fantastic. The friendly staff at check in let me pre-check in so I could enjoy a few hrs in Brighton. The room was beautiful-clean and great size. The whole vibe of the hotel was great. Location was excellent-right across from the beach and local shops. Only used the bar once before the gig and the staff were again fantastic. Would highly recommend and will def return.

Hotel was lovely, clean and quiet. Room and especially the bathroom were spacious and very nicely appointed. We were on the third floor and there are no lifts, albeit it wasn’t an issue for us it wouldn’t suit everyone. The bar area and courtyard area was nice and staff were good.

Not pet friendly - this hotel is pet tolerant
We’ve made a point of staying in Hotel du Vin locations for years. They’ve been so pet friendly over the years. I was really shocked when we checked in - we were asked to leave an additional £100 deposit in respect of our dog. The room itself and service were both fine. When we checked out we were asked to wait until our room had been checked (presumably in case our dog had damaged anything). Left us feeling almost victimised. I did comment to the reception staff that humans weren’t expected to go through this. Really put me off Hotel du Vin to be honest - being reluctantly pet tolerant isn’t the same thing as being pet friendly.

Brightons First Choice
This is a fantastic hotel with great rooms, top class staff. Decent food and bar. You are always made to feel welcome and it feels that the staff are highly motivated. My first choice in Brighton every time. Rooms can be a little tricky to access, with narrow staircases but that is the nature of the face it is an old and interesting building
