The location of the property was great for what we needed and our host gave us what we needed. The parking was a bit of a hassle and the internet could have been a lot better. Due to where our room was located, we got a lot of noise of people ringing the door bell and walking through the hallway. Generally though, we still had a good time and this place is great for being in the centre by the water.

Liked the room very comfortable bed and quirky lights. liked the stained glass window and small balcony with sea view. The bed was exreemly comfortable. The only downside was the room was very hot no air con but had a fan which we had to keep on all night and throughout our stay to cool the room. Bathroom was ok.

We had a lovely trip to Brighton! I was impressed by the speedy email responses from staff leading up to our visit. No questions ever went unanswered, so thank you for that :) The lady was also very helpful in ensuring our luggage was kept safe whilst we parked/retrieved the car. We were assisted in purchasing a 2 day parking permit, my only criticism is that we were not informed about just how difficult parking is in the area. We drove around for 20 minutes before eventually moving a dustbin so that we could park in the zone we had purchased the permits for. The hotel was conveniently located centrally and on the sea front, and it was clean and well presented. We were located in the loft rooms and being quite tall, ended up hitting our heads quite frequently on the sloped ceilings. Ouch! I liked the set up we had though, we had booked 2 rooms and had a little shared bathroom and kitchen area. We had all the amenities we needed and there was a lovely little reception area downstairs with a dining table should you wish to use it. Highly recommended.

Well they took payment before i arrived it was pending then said it would go back in and took other payment. But first one still pending on leaving.rooms werent ready and we travelled from scotland had to wait.rooms so small no where to sit than bed.asked for 2 rooms together got different floors.no food available. Wouldn't go back

This is a gem of a B&B. Can't rate it highly enough. David & Eric are superb hosts. Amazing breakfast, lovely clean room. Nothing is too much trouble for these two. Would highly recommend.

From a phone call from one of the owners on the morning of my arrival inquiring about my arrival time and details for possible parking permits, to the warm welcome from David on arrival (inc free map of Brighton), shows the care and attention they give as hosts. Had the room just above the entrance on the first floor which had a wonderful Helter skelter stain glass window, and it was spotlessly clean with a comfortable, clean bed and bedding and well appointed shower room. Unfortunately i didn't get to try the breakfast because of an early start, hopefully will remedy that the next time i can stay. Would happily recommend a stay here for business or leisure and would return, in fact did try again the week later, but they were full.

Fantastic!!
All round was fantastic, the hosts were kind, thoughtful and cooked a fantastic breakfast every morning! The location of Guest and the City is great, you can get to most main attractions of the area within a few minutes walk. We will be staying here again on our next Brighton trip for sure!

David and Eric are fantastic hosts. On arrival (and departure) they brought our cases up (and down) the stairs, while other B&Bs we have stayed they left it to us with no help. They are very caring hosts, spend time with you recommending restaurants and things to do, and are genuinely interested in making your stay in Brighton the best experience. David happily booked our taxis and made dinner reservations. The breakfasts were absolutely wonderful top notch. We hope to go back one day to see these lovely people.

The PERFECT weekend!
We had an amazing weekend in this delightful guest house. David and Eric are the perfect hosts; cheerful, friendly, attentive and helpful without being intrusive. From the moment we arrived nothing was too much trouble. They helped us park and provided the parking passes (just £20 covered Fri-Sun) - even came in the car to find a parking space nearby! - organised chilled wine for our room when we arrived (on request) and personally delivered a fabulous cooked breakfast to our room in the morning! The room was cozy and warm, with a VERY comfortable bed and modern en suite with a great shower. The hotel is in an ideal location, a few minutes walk from the beach, restaurants and bars, but tucked away enough so not to be disturbed by late night (or in our case, early morning!) revellers - so you get a great nights sleep! We highly recommend it and will definitely return soon. Thanks so much guys!

The owners were friendly and exceedingly helpful. My wife had injured her foot and they provided her with ice in bags, sympathy, and good counsel. Our room featured a beautiful stained-glass window that depicted parts of Brighton. Overall, very stylish. The location is ideal: close to the beach and pier; hip neighborhood. Superbly cooked breakfast. Everything was perfect.

David and Eric are fabulous hosts - very caring and attentive to detail. Great knowledge of the surrounding areas. Very easy to chat to and comfortable to approach. The B&B is well decorated with a contemporary feel. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The complimentary toiletries by Pecksniff’s are lovely and refreshing and the housekeeping was above and beyond what we expected, with our clothes being neatly folded. We would highly recommend this B&B as it is also in a great location - only 1 minutes walk to the Palace Pier and the Sea Life Centre. About 5mins walk to the Royal Pavilion and Museum gardens etc.

Stayed for 2 nights at Guest and the City. David & Eric were perfect hosts, so friendly and helpful. We loved our room, especially the retro lighting and furniture, and the bed was divine, so comfortable. The stained glass feature window was lovely. Breakfast was great, so much choice and quality ingredients. Enjoyed our stay and would love to return on our next visit to Brighton.

Fantastic stay David and Eric they reply to e mails quickly and provide a first class service throughout your stay. The breakfasts are excellent even catering for a vegetarian was no trouble. A little gem by the sea!
This is a fantastic BnB. 1. Location is great and near shops, sea and restaurant. The rooms are also peaceful and quiet. 2. The Hosts are simply brilliant. Nothing it to much and they make the stay that extra bit better. 3. Rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. They are clean to an exceptional standard. 4. Breakfast in quality and plentiful.
