Excellent location.

Lovely hotel with very polite staff. Excellent location only a 5-10 minute walk from all the attractions including the pier, sealife and The Lanes. Only negative was the fact we were on the third floor and the stairs were very steep, however this was advertised that there was no lift in the building so no surprise on arrival. Would definitely book to stay here again and would recommend to anyone.

A little disappointing but OK

Location: London by the sea . . . with a pier (or two).
Not sure why this place gets 4 stars. Our room appeared to be a converted attic room. It was four storeys up reached on foot via some narrow winding stairs. To be fair, the website mentions the stairs and access. So if you have doubts about your fitness or cannot easily get hold of a Sherpa it is worth finding out where they will be accommodating you before actually booking. If you just need somewhere fairly pleasant to sleep with no frills, this is it. No need to stand on the beach to see the rusting remains of the West Pier, there is a lump of it on the stairs - very nostalgic . . . broken bit of cast iron . . . If only someone had mentioned about the parking permits before the morning we left then . . . Nice staff. Breakfast was good and healthy (no fry ups here!!). Good location. No evidence of the cat.

A great, small hotel

Location: Right at the heart of everything Brighton has to offer.
Couldn't be better for the price. Great location, nicely decorated hotel and spacious room. And the best continental breakfast I have seen in a long time.

Compact single was the description and compact single it was, probably the smallest room I've stayed in and the climb to the forth floor was a challenge at midnight but it was fine for a single night. People at check in and breakfast excellent.
