"Clean, chic hotel"
Nice tasteful room (quite small) and a decent shower. Breakfast was good with friendly service. They also have a DVD library which was a fun surprise. No sea views, but if you don't mind that it's a nice hotel near restaurants and shops.

"brilliant stay in beautiful b&b right by the beach"
We stayed one night and really enjoyed the experience. Hastings house was comfortable and clean. The rooms were in excellent condition with everything we needed for a night's stay. The bed was incredibly comfy, the shower was massive and really clean. The service was great - we were made to feel very welcome. We really enjoyed our breakfast - vegetarian cooked breakfast with fresh coffee. The breakfast menu was really good - some nice options. We were right be the sea and a short walk into Hastings. We really could not fault this place and will definitely recommend to others!

"Parking impossible"
This was a lovely building but the room was the smallest I've ever stayed in. The decor was good and had all the facilities one would expect however too expensive considering the size. The heating was difficult to regulate and uncomfortably hot, add this to the noise from other residents and or staff I cannot say I had a restful sleep or enjoyable stay.

Great hotel within walking distance of all the main attractions. Loved the funky decor which has a touch of Austin Powers about it. Really comfortable mattresses too!

"Lovely hotel in Rye town centre"
Stayed for one night at the George in Rye. Right in the centre of town and convenient for browsing the local shops. Stayed in Room 3 which was absolutely gorgeous. The general décor of the hotel is beautiful and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Had our evening meal there - quite pricey but enjoyable with good service. Breakfast (included in room price) was equally enjoyable but no sign of any toast! I'm sure if we'd asked it would have been provided though. Only downside was no hotel parking, however, you can pull up outside the hotel to drop off your bags and the car park we used at Rope Walk - a short walk away - only charges £1.50 for 24 hours. All in all, if you don't mind paying a little bit more for an overnight stay, this hotel is certainly to be recommended.
