"The Beach in the winter? Why not?"
What a great location! We drove into Brighton, and easily parked our car near our B & B. It costs 10 pounds per 24 hour period. We didn't use our car again until we left. We walked everywhere. We enjoyed a very long walk along the boardwalk or promenade With its eclectic mix of little shops, restaurants and people. Our hosts were very friendly and we were served the best "full English breakfast" of our entire 3-week visit to the U.K. My wife and I will be sure to return, hopefully in the summer next time!

My stay in Buxted was probably too short to make other than a superficial judgement of the hotel and its facilities.

"Perfect for our minimoon"
We are very glad we booked into the Drakes for our minimoon at Brighton. The decor was beautiful and the staff were friendly and helpful. Not to mention their quiet bar had a much better atmosphere for us to enjoy their delicious cocktails without booming music or distractions. It is slightly further away from Brighton train station than we anticipated, but the scenic walk to and from the attractions were pleasant. The only thing is we wish there was an elevator as we stayed on the 3rd floor. It does take its toll on you after walking 21000 steps per day! Thank you again to the lovely team at Drakes for your hospitality. We would highly recommend it to couples looking for a quiet and chic boutique hotel for a romantic mini break.

"Great location"
We had a fab time in Hastings for the New Year. The Hotel was perfectly situated for where we wanted to go and to visit our family who live in Hastings. Room 3 of the hotel was superb and the views lovely. Greg and his wife Seng were so pleasant and welcoming. The breakfast was so tasteful and we even went to their local butchers to buy some of the sausages to take home with us!!!. Would definitely recommend. Thank you Greg and Seng for a lovely stay. "Great Hotel"
Very happy with the hotel - clean, modern, secure, friendly staff, speedy check-in and check-out, decent buffet breakfast and just across the road from Brighton train station/station car park. Stayed one night in a superior triple room on 4th floor, which was quiet and equipped with toiletries, towels an iron and ironing board. Would recommend!

Pocket Guide: Adventure Sport Hotels in East Sussex

There are a number of adventure sport hotels in East Sussex that are perfectly located for those looking for a more adrenaline-fuelled holiday, partaking in some of the activities the area has to offer. There is a choice of stylish, luxury hotels and more budget-friendly inns and guesthouses so you can be sure to choose accommodation that's right for you, no matter what you plan to do on your break.

Choosing an Adventure Sport Hotel in East Sussex

Adventure sport hotels naturally attract different types of visitor depending on the location and type of activities on offer. In East Sussex, thanks to the coastal location and beautiful countryside, adventure sport hotels attract everyone from hikers to surfers, with plenty of others in between.

When choosing your hotel, consider the type of activity you'll be doing during your stay. Surfers will likely want a hotel close to the beach and may pick from the many guesthouses and hostels in the local seaside towns. Ramblers may well want an out-of-town hotel with accessible hiking routes nearby and plenty of amenities within the hotel itself. If your chosen activity is likely to leave you in need of some rest and relaxation at the end of an energetic day, you may wish to consider a more luxury hotel with spa facilities to help ease those aching muscles!

    Adventure Sports in East Sussex

As well as the more usual adventure sport activities, the East Sussex area plays host to a host of activities for the more adventurous among us. At Woodland Adventures, you can take part in laser combat - a fun alternative to paint-balling - or you can go dry slope skiing or snowboarding at the Knockhatch Ski & Snowboard Centre. Extreme Ventures offers rock climbing lessons at Harrison Rocks in Birchden Woods - likely to leave you in need of a good meal and a comfy bed.

It's only fitting that an area so stuffed full of activities should have such a wide choice of accommodation types to match. Whether you're climbing, hiking, skiing or surfing in East Sussex you can find the ideal adventure sport hotel nearby whatever you style and whatever your budget.
