"This was a lovely bolt hole in the country and an ideal location for visiting wonderful local landmarks. The cottage was well equipped and nicely presented with a welcoming box of biscuits on arrival. Very quiet with tranquil views. The owners were over the driveway and extremely friendly. Salisbury, Glastonbury, Sherborne and the like were within easy reach as was Poole on the coast. An ideal spot and perfect for that relaxing getaway."

"Fantastic place to stay! Great room, wonderful host. Breakfast was great, just right to set you up for the day. This was our 2nd stay and hopefully we'll return again next year. Can't fault at all ."

"The room was clean and the shower worked well (although personal preference I wasn't a fan of the shower curtain!). They provided a fan in the room which was needed with the heat. All the staff were lovely and they even carried our big suitcase up the stairs for us! Enjoyed are stay and located in a wonderful location."

Quick response to noise disturbance from cretin in next room. Otherwise is quiet. Free parking. Easy walking distance to town centre. CONS: Room was very tired with elderly furniture. Wifi not good. Frequent buffering and kept going off. No mirror for drying hair near socket. No phone in room, which would have been helpful when dealing with said cretin. There was a card showing a number for reception but didn't see it in the dark. Got a useless bot when I rang the main number. Despite the above, we would stay again."

We were pre-warned about the closure of the spa - not that we were going to have any time to use it. It was a good place to stay so we could attend a family wedding at Mapperton House.
