Beautiful grounds and setting with a good sized swimming pool and fitness facilities
Furnishings very dated but probably in keeping with the age of the property. No lift so not suitable for those with mobility problems. Did not realise when booking that price did not include breakfast, which was an additional cost. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Everything was excellent. My only negative was the price of the food in the restaurant which in my opinion is extortionate.
Staff very good, hotel in general needs some care and attention as there was a AGM taking place in one of the convention rooms we where given a room so did not hear any noise whatsoever.
The views were wonderful, we had afternoon tea on the terrace which was really good, breakfast was also very good. The staff were really friendly and helpful, all in all a great break.
Friendly staff who were very helpful.Clean hotel and centrally located. It was ideal for what we required.
Staff were very good, breakfast was of a good standard, rooms are a little dated.
Large room. Comfortable. Economic. Perfect location for my participation in the BDO Darts competition held at the Spa.
Overall excellent experience, staff were extremely friendly and we'd love to stay again. Hoping to book again for the same time next year.
Going on holiday is all about getting away from the stresses of everyday life and unwinding. There are few better places to do so than in the tranquil countryside of one of the United Kingdom's most beautiful counties - the East Riding of Yorkshire. This north-eastern corner of the country boasts gently rolling hills, vast expanses of farmland and picturesque coastal vistas. To further sweeten the package, visitors to the county are treated to a wide selection of stunning spa hotels.
Yorkshire's spa hotels don't just welcome holidaymakers. They are also popular among travelling professionals, on the road for meetings and conferences. After a tough day, there can be nothing more relaxing than enjoying a hotel spa.
The Village Hotel in Hull covers both bases superbly. The conference space at the hotel measures more than 5,000 square feet, ideal for events of all kind. There's free WiFi throughout the hotel and, of course, a first-rate, fully-featured spa.
Spas across the county vary. While some focus on massages and hydrotherapy, others favour beauty treatments. One thing everyone can agree on, though, is that any spa worth its name ought to be centred around an inviting swimming pool.
The indoor swimming pool at the Cave Castle and Country Club, in rural Brough, is a dream. The purpose built room features stunning exposed beams and elegant palms, with windows that look out onto the luscious green garden. If you’re looking for something active after a day of relaxing, guests can head to the hotel golf club.
Plenty of hotels in the East Riding of Yorkshire can lay claim to a pool, and a good number boast a sauna or steam room. Only a select few, however, can boast their very own full-service spa. The Hallmark Hotel, just outside Hull, offers exactly that.
Facilities at the Hallmark Hotel include a wide range of beauty treatments and therapies, in addition to the state of the art sauna and relaxation suite. There's an extensive fitness centre, for those keen to stay in shape during their stay. The hotel also offers spectacular views out across the Humber.
