Good hotel overlooking the Marina

Pros: Good views of the Marina
Location: Good location
Enjoyable stay-good size twin room with good views from the balcony. Breakfast brilliant Only downside was that they put us in a room which had equipment for disabled people.

Nice hotel close to marina and town centre

Pros: Location, comfortable roomDedicated function rooms, wedding parties filled all communal areas
Cons: Could do with a refurbishment, a bit dated and shabby
Location: Great location near marina bars and restaurants and easy walk to town centre
Much better than I expected from hotel of this type

Location: We enjoyed walking around old Hull, shopping and visiting The Deep
Friendly accommodating staff. Very good location. We enjoyed our breakfast

Pros: Staff apart from management were helpful and friendly.
Cons: Improved management and administration. Inform guests before arrival that basic facilities are out of bounds
Location: Location is good with plenty of restaurants nearby thankfully.
Stayed for two nights, Friday and Saturday. Wedding function on both evenings which used the restaurant and bar so therefore not available for hotel guests. A bar was provided in a function room which unfortunately had local people ?? playing guitars and singing !!! Very disappointing. The room and breakfast had been prepaid with Expedia so only the extras were paid on check out. After our return home we found that our credit card had been charged again for the room and breakfast ( a higher rate than Expedia ) We then attempted to recover the amount taken by telephoning there 0871 number costing 13p per minute which on the first two attempts was not answered and then on the third was left on hold. Finally they agreed to repay the overcharge and said it would take a couple of days ( it did ) I asked if they were compensating for the cost of telephone calls which after consultations with duty managers, general managers etc they agreed and offered £ 3 !!! Surprise, surprise this was not re-imbursed .

Not too happy!!

Room great, hotel attractive but breakfast was NOT good we had to ask for water, butter, fried eggs and the breakfast under the lamps was dried up and almost cold. The second day the fruit had run out, also hash browns and bacon and again everything as only luke warm and dried up. We breakfasted at 9am first morning and 8.15 second morning. We were planning to eat in the restaurant but decided that if breakfast was poor dinner could well be poor too.

Hull 10... Holiday Inn 4

We were in Hull to take my mum to see her school best friend who lived on the marina. Hull's fab by the way. The holiday inn was perfectly situated on the marina with good views on 3 sides but an incredibly busy road on the other side. It was super clean and tidy and all the house-keeping/bar staff/breakfast staff were friendly and efficient. Unfortunately, reception let them down.....a bit cold and a bit snotty! I also have a big hug bear with any hotel that charges for parking - £5/day. You pay enough for the room and breakfast as it is - and it wasn't stated up front. When I made that point, I was told frostily that it's on the website. However, I didn't book that way! No need.....
