Excellent always.
I always stay in this Guest House when I am in Merelbeke. It's the best one in my opinion and always has an excellent breakfast. Thomas, who owns the Guest House is very friendly. Fabulous place.

Spotless, comfortable and stylish house. Breakfast was excellent and Thomas a great host. Sadly we were just passing through, but we enjoyed the short stay and would recommend La Cle du Sud

I liked the host, very friendly and jovial. The break fast was excellent and we loved the coffee. The location was is Ghent and since we had a car we managed. It is in a sort of residential area and it is pricy. For the most part we managed with the home made food as we are strict vegetarians. We stayed only for 2 nights and on the last day we did find a pure vegetarian place at Ghent and it was really good.

Great spot for a stay before the ferry back.
Really nice place to stay south of Ghent, quirky rooms, really nice breakfast, great host. If you have an early afternoon ferry then this is only 90 minutes away from Dunkirk and the nicest place we have stayed at, out in the country but easy to get to and from

Room was not cleaned. Left empty bottles of shampoo and not given towels or soap for the next day. Breakfast was good and location good. We were given the courtyard bungalow, which we didn't have an idea we would get that for 2 people.Kitchen had no dish or paper towels. Unhappy experience.

Dear Anonymous When you arrived 3 hours earlier than the check-in time we were so friendly to let you in and we explicit mentionned it that the room wasn't cleaned yet but you could let your luggage in the room so you could visit Ghent. The room was then cleaned properly. Thanks to your remarks we won't let guests check in earlier from now on. Your review is totaly unseemly. Kind regards Thomas

Super clean, great host, comfortable!
I really have nothing to complain about, room had all the amenities, need for nothing. Rooms extremely clean, in fact whole property was well kept. Breakfast was good, lost of fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, meat and cheese, good coffee too. We even got a welcome drink, tried a local beer:) It was in a quiet town so it was lovely for me go for a walk along the farms and small town.

Peaceful and cozy stay.
The owner was very nice. The room was neat and spacious with kitchen, table and chairs and a fridge. It was a chilly day, but the heater worked just perfect. We liked the atmouphere of the room we had breakfast; clean, bright and warm. Food was neatly placed and we really enjoyed it. There was a pretty garden and there was tables outside, so we thought it would be wonderful to stay when it is warm. If turnning on the shower was easier, it would have been perfect.

Nice B&B
The B&B is a nice house. We stayed in a room in the house, there is a Garden house you can rent, too. Our room was nice and clean, came with a tv / dvd player and had a few dvd's in the room for us to use. The bathroom was nice size with a shower only. The owners have handmade chocolates to buy, they give you a sample :) There is also some unique jewelry available for purchase. The breakfast had an assortment of food and they will make you an egg if you like. Over all we were very happy with our stay.

We were both very impressed with the bed and breakfasts. Thomas has the whole home set up for his business, maps, fire alarm system, park like yard and very clean. He offers and as many local drinks as well has hand made chocolates. We both enjoyed our stay and breakfast Well done Thomas

Great All Around
Great place. Super charming accommodations just outside of Ghent. Wonderful host and clean room. Great breakfast and the host also makes and sells very good Belgian chocolate for a very reasonable price. We would stay there again for sure.

Both Sleeping and having breakfast were as expected. Our room was independent from the main house, very comfortable and warm. Kitchenette with everything needed and fridge filled with great wines and local beers!! Delicious breakfast served every morning and wonderful staff. Sure to stay here again!!

Quiet location. Welcoming, clean & great breakfast
This B&B is set in a quiet location a short drive or cycle ride from the A444. We had received an email several days before enquiring about our expected arrival time and we're welcomed by Thomas who, fortunately for us, spoke fluent English. We were staying only one night and Thomas recommended an excellent family-run restaurant 3 or for minutes drive away on the A444, which is by no means a busy road on a Saturday evening. Our room was large enough and the bed was firm and very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and the shower powerful - very useful if you have long hair like me! Coffee and tea making facilities are available in the rooms and there is and you can choose a free alcoholic or non-alcoholic cold drink. The breakfast was a delicious selection of breads, cheese and cold meat, fruit, yoghurt, jams and optional eggs & and bacon. I am vegetarian and was catered for well both at the B&B and the local restaurant. We will definitely stay again if we are passing the area and it is well worth the short drive off the E40 near Gwent. There is car parking available in front of the house and there were 5 cars parked, including ours, during our stay. We weren't surprised that Thomas reported that they were fully booked! We highly recommend staying here to explore the area or to break your longer journey.

A most enjoyable stay
We can't say enough good things about this B & B, and especially our host, Thomas. He made us feel at home right away, and fed us marvelous breakfasts everyday. He also gave us lots of good information about where to go and what to see. We would definitely stay here again if we are ever back in Belgium.

An excellent B&B. Very clean. Nice facilities including a garden for when it is sunny. The breakfast was excellent and the host engaging, friendly ans speaks good English. Belgium beer and wine on offer at reasonable prices. Recommended!

Lovely B&B
Lovely stay in the family room in the garden. Kids loved playing in the garden. Parents enjoyed (reasonably priced) selection of Belgian beers in the fridge. Good location for main travel routes, but very nice quiet area. Recommend going for a boat trip in Gent too. Excellent breakfast!

We stayed here on route to Munich, very nice stopover we would consider staying there for a few days and exploring Gent. Thomas the owner is a very nice kind and helpful host.

The proprietor is very helpful. the room was very well appointed and very clean. However, the nearest restaurant was miles away and Ghent was a 50 minute ride on the bus.

Vriendelijke en gemoedelijke ontvangst. Verzorgde kamer en degelijk ontbijt. We genoten van de rustige omgeving (doodlopende straat). Spijtig dat er (nog) geen laadpaal voor electrische voertuigen aanwezig is, ook niet op wandelafstand.

Som at møde en gammel ven.
Dejligt sted med et meget personligt præg fra værts familien. Super behagelig stemning og ingen følelse af pligt til dialog med vært, som dog er fantastisk imødekommende. Vi havde en overnatning undervejs mod Frankrig, og nød især et skønt morgenbord med en del lokale lækkerier, heriblandt tomater fra eget drivhus. Kan absolut anbefales.

E' stata una piacevole esperienza.Seppure un po' fuori mano, ci ha consentito di apprezzare il paesaggio rurale in un contesto di ville unifamiliari, con giardini particolarmente curati.La camera spaziosa e luminosa,con letto king size ,materasso comodissimo e temperatura ideale.I padroni di casa sono stati gentili e disponibili, aiutandomi anche nell'esecuzione del Check-in on line per l'aereoporto, viste le difficoltà con la lingua. Ma la sorpresa migliore è stata la colazione! Sia per la location,veranda finemente arredata in stile country,immersa nel giardino in via di fioritura,sia per la qualità e l'abbondanza del cibo. Siamo rimasti proprio soddisfatti!

Leuk B&B, aardige hosts, lekker ontbijt in een rustige omgeving. De katten die er rondlopen zijn ook erg leuk. Doucheknop was alleen bijna stuk, maar dat ging uiteindelijk ook prima. Op de douche na was alles helemaal in orde!

Uitstekend verblijf
Zeer goed verzorgde B&B, goede ontvangst en prima kamer. Uitgebreid ontbijt buffet met persoonlijke aandacht van de eigenaar. B&B ligt op 20 minuten van Gent, dus rust gegarrandeerd. Al met al een aanrader.
