ÖÖD Whiteface at Jay - Scandinavian Mirror Cabin

"What an amazing property! The cabin is modern and clean, the space is perfect for a couple looking for a quiet retreat in the Adirondacks. The mirror cabin is so unique and very private. The sauna was amazing, it felt like you were sitting outside in the woods. Everything 2 people need is provided without any extra clutter or unnecessary items. The bed is big and comfortable with amazing views of the property. The location is perfect, close to nice restaurants and shops and great hiking - we visited Lake Placid, did some local hikes, and enjoyed the nearby swimming holes, all within. 20 minutes from the property. In the evening we loved using the fire pit. It gets so dark at night, we were able to stargaze and see planets and shooting stars right from the bed! Johnathan is an amazing host, the key was in the door and everything was ready when we got there. He responds to messages within minutes, has good suggestions for local activities, and proactively reaches out to provide info. He also respected our privacy and made sure we had a quiet peaceful stay."

"Great place for a few friends to get together for a relaxing getaway. Close enough to anything you need. Fire pit, grill, game room, hot tub, beautiful porch, and nice Adirondack feel. Hosts were super easy to communicate with and zero issues checking in or out. All in all it was a great place for a golf/relax trip for a few friends or a family Adirondack vacation. We visited Floom falls for a hike and cliff jump into the water, golfed at lake placid golf club, whiteface golf resort, and Craig wood. Whiteface was the best. We also spent a day in lake placid. Plenty of kitchen gear for cooking dinner in, and space for food and dry goods. Would definitely recommend."

"Very clean.With 6 adults and 2 children we had to have kids sleep on floor as 2 adults were not sleeping together. Luckily we made a “camping trip” on floor with extra bed pillows. Also not enough chairs for us all to eat together at a table. I would say it holds 6 comfortably, not eight. We had a wonderful time though!!Loved fire pit area - cooked food over open fire!!"

"Great house for our large family. Perfect location for all the things we wanted to do. Well stocked kitchen. We saw a lot of deer. A mama and baby right out the kitchen window.The entrance to the driveway is hidden, which we were told. It’s an odd number address and as we were approaching the driveway, odd numbers were on the right. This driveway was on the left. So we missed it initially. We turned around and it was easier to see coming from the other direction. After that, no issues."

"House was very clean and everything was well labeled. Stocked with everything we needed for a multiple day stay and even basic items we may have forgotten. Our daughter enjoyed what she called "the Mickey Mouse room" which had a variety of toys and board games to play with. Quiet, private location with an easy drive to Lake Placid and other area attractions. Would definitely try to book again if we're in the area."

"Our family just returned from a week-long stay at this incredible home, and we are already wishing we could go back! Finding a property that is truly secluded and peaceful, while still offering top-tier, modern amenities, can be a challenge—but this place absolutely nailed it. Why we loved our stay: Modern, Clean, & Super Comfortable: The moment we walked through the door, we were struck by how spotless and beautifully designed the interior is. It has a modern aesthetic but still feels incredibly cozy and welcoming. Dog-Friendly Perfection: Traveling with our dogs can sometimes be stressful, but the fully fenced backyard was a complete game-changer. We had total peace of mind letting them stretch their legs. The Ultimate Relaxation: After a day of exploring, there was nothing better than soaking in the private hot tub, surrounded by the quiet beauty of the woods. It is pure bliss. The Ultimate Kid/Teen Hangout: The basement setup is genius! It is the perfect, self-contained space for teenagers or families with younger children to have their own zone to play, watch movies, and hang out without interrupting the quiet spaces upstairs. If you are looking for a pristine, secluded escape in the Adirondacks that doesn't compromise on luxury or comfort, this is it. The hosts have thought of absolutely everything. We cannot recommend this property highly enough!"
