"Room was clean despite housekeeping shortage the first weekend open for the season. Staff was awesome. It was great staying onsite at the National Park. The road to access it was slow, long, up a very old winding grade, but well worth the trip to the top. The lodge restaurant had excellent food and the breakfast buffet (not included) was amazing. It did not bother us, but the rooms are very basic, clean but older. There are no elevators. You are paying for the convenience and beauty of the location. Because of the location, we were able to get up early and visit General Sherman and other sites prior to the onslaught of tourists. Well worth it. "
"River Retreat House" - River With Two Decks, BBQ, Firepit🔥, near Sequoia Park
10/10 Excellent
"Booked this for a solo getaway while family was traveling elsewhere with friends. Their trip ended up being canceled due to weather at the last minute and we ended up being 4 instead of 1. We had plenty of room and we were able to cook meals. Such a great place. Srey was a great host and she provided links to other houses in the area for a return visit with more room as we plan on returning to this amazing area."
"We had a wonderful stay at the Rose Retreat Red Mountain Suite. Lori, our host was fantastic. The suite was very nice, clean and well equipped. Lori had water and snacks waiting for us. The grounds we well kept and enjoyable with outdoor seating and picnic tables. The view was also nice and the sunset spectacular! For us the location could not be beat, just a few minutes from Sequoia Park entrance. Grab a coffee and breakfast bowl from the Totem Market. We had the Sequoia bowl and it was great. We will certainly stay here again on our next Sequoia Park visit! Thanks Lori and John!"
