I can't say enough good things about this hotel. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms spacious, the spa like none I've ever seen, and the staff was so wonderful. I'd like to give a shout out to Chloe, the front desk woman who greeted us, Lisa at the spa who welcomed us to the Spa Garden, Lauren at ...
I took my daughter for a long weekend to celebrate her birthday, the room was lovely with access to allow us to have our coffee in the garden even in November, We dined at both the Ozone & Byrons Restaurant & the food was excellent. We made great use of the facilities available in the spa & enjoyed ...
The apartment was clean, the couple that owned it lived in an attached apartment. They were kind and helpful. They supplied milk, bread, tea, coffee, sugar, butter, jam, good for light breakfast.
Great stay at this beautiful venue for a wedding. The gardens and courtyard were stunning although sadly we didn't get good enough weather to sit out and enjoy then to their full. Very tasteful decor and everything beautifully finished. The marquee was gorgeous as was the food. On my list of places ...
Rooms are exactly as expected and very good for the price. Excellent breakfast. Location is perfect for Durham and good car parking on-site. The best part of the place is the staff; superb; never found better anywhere; nothing is a trouble for them. And they take in interest in folk. The only slight ...
We were here for a family reunion. Beautifully quaint building and setting, friendly and welcoming staff. Cosy bar and great facilities for all ages and weather. Refurbished rooms above the spa are the most comfortable but you have to navigate a maze to find them.
The staff were very welcoming on arrival. The room was nicely decorated. The bar staff were also very friendly and the food was excellent value for money. I will definitely stay here again.
We have just returned from two wonderfully relaxing nights at Burnhopeside Hall. It was like stepping into a Jane Austen novel, but with 21st century comforts. The Hall itself is a beautiful building, tastefully furnished with spacious rooms. Our bed was enormous! The ensuite bathroom was spotless, ...
Durham and its surrounding region is a great place for a high-end holiday, whether your idea of luxury is a magnificent countryside retreat, or a stay in a city-centre boutique hotel. County Durham has the lot, and is home to some of the finest hotels and guesthouses in the country, not only in the big settlements like Durham and Darlington, but also in more rural locales - perfect if for you luxury means getting away from it all. Whether you're a tourist or business traveller, this charming county has more than its fair share of quality, luxury hotels and guesthouses.
County Durham's amazing countryside, which encompasses such diverse landscapes as the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the Durham Dales, is the perfect spot for a luxury hotel. Unsurprisingly, you'll find many top four and four-star hotels dotted around the region. Seaham Hall is five-star accommodation located near to the coast, along Lord Byron's Walk. The hotel goes above and beyond the norm, boasting extensive spa facilities, fine dining restaurants, an indoor swimming pool and all the amenities and conveniences you'd expect from a luxury establishment. Many luxury hotels in County Durham are magnificent historic buildings, such as Redworth Hall Hotel, located in Newton Aycliffe, a stunning Jacobean country house dating back to 1693.
Whilst the idea of a hotel set amongst the beautiful County Durham countryside represents the pinnacle of luxury, for others luxury means a good city-centre location close to quality bars, shops and restaurants. The Radisson BLU Hotel combines all the luxury amenities you'd expect from four-star accommodation - everything from free internet to an indoor swimming pool - with a convenient location in easy reach of Durham's top attractions, such as Crook Hall and Gardens, Durham Castle and Durham Cathedral. Durham luxury hotels will often have considerable business facilities, such as conference rooms and business centres, and are popular venues for meetings and conferences - particularly where there are clients to impress! A number of the luxury hotels in the County Durham region boast excellent business facilities, such as the four-star Best Western Beamish Hall Country House Hotel, which offers generous conference space.
