Acceptable hotel for its purpose

Hotel is great if you have a dog and also if you need to arrive at unsociable hours. Rooms perfectly adequate and clean, the only problem we had was the heating was blasting out in our room when we arrived and it took so long to disapate that we could not sleep and the poor dog was panting and very uncomfortable. I would still use the hotel again.

Convenient to Wetherby village

Welcomed by a friendly & attentive staff member. Room was cramped for 3, ensuite was nice. Car park was a pain - sharing it with every manner of passers-by from the motorway. Hard to park near the entrance for suitcases plus the hire car got damaged. No fridge in the room to keep the next days things cool. Breakfast was basic but cheap enough to start the day. Catering staff weren't as attentive.

Exceptional staff

After a mistake by hotels.com (who allowed us to book two family rooms when there was only one available), staff at the hotel were very accommodating. They recognised that the mistake was not through any fault of our own, and so allowed us to have a much more expensive room than the one we had booked for the two nights that we stayed with them. Staff throughout our stay had excellent customer service, went out of their way to help us and were very friendly. We will definitely stay here again!

El hotel está un poco viejo. No se ha remodelado. No tiene desayuno, solo un descuento para una cafeteria al lado. Sin embargo tiene un buen parqueo.

Pros: Easy to find and handy to area via the A1.
Cons: My wife is disabled and to put a shower over a bath, even a low level bath is just plain crazy!!!!
Location: Newcastle / Durham / Angel of the North / Dales. Retail therapy!
Handy spot close to the Friends and close to Durham / Newcastle.
