Convenient for the A1

Unfortunately, the hotel is seriously in need of refurbishment, especially the carpets in the corridors which were extremely dirty. This gave a very bad first impression. Room was comfortable but bathroom fixtures and fittings again in need of replacement. We won't be rushing back.

Convenient, clean and affordable

Feedback was very good. Hotel is very convenient, good car parking facilities. Room was clean and beds were very comfortable. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

2 night stay

2 night business stay. Hotel was clean, tidy and efficient. Staff were pleasant and welcoming.The only draw back was the lack of a restaurant or bar. Motorway services next door offered limited food choices but there are many decent restaurants not too far away. My only real criticism is that someone kept wedging the fire doors open which I kept unwedging.

Dirty and poorly serviced accommodation

Extremely poor standard of accommodation. Although a budget hotel, I have grown to expect a lot more for my money. The room was dirty, riddled with mildew around window frames, stained mattress, lumpy pillows and a poorly maintained bathroom. The TV had a poor signal that meant the picture repeatedly cut out making it difficult to view. Although, it is stated that dogs are allowed only in certain rooms, my partner (an asthmatic) was suffering by the morning of the second day. To cap it all, our room was not serviced in between the first and second nights of our stay. So often we are given the excuse that poor accommodation is 'approaching imminent refurbishment'. This is not good enough. Accommodation of such poor standard should not be sold to the public.

The housekeeping team work to high standards and regularly get compliments on how clean the rooms are and again apologise to you as this does not seem to be the case in this incident. The rooms are undergoing refurbishment in stages and hopefully this will be completed soon.

I found checkin daunting as my booking wasnt confirmed by expedia and hotel was fully booked eventually got things sortef

Acceptable hotel for its purpose

Hotel is great if you have a dog and also if you need to arrive at unsociable hours. Rooms perfectly adequate and clean, the only problem we had was the heating was blasting out in our room when we arrived and it took so long to disapate that we could not sleep and the poor dog was panting and very uncomfortable. I would still use the hotel again.
