Room was lovely and the bed was so comfortable. Food was amazing and so much choice. Loved they were dog friendly too. Will be returning in the future.

Beautiful property and views out of the window of our room were lovely. If I had a complaint it would be that the pool wasn’t inside the building it was a short walk away so would be cold in the winter coming back but that would be if I was picky. Couldn’t fault the hotel or facilities other than the toaster broke at breakfast will definitely be back

Stayed in Rowan Cottage for 2 nights for our daughter’s wedding and it was really lovely. Great views, very warm hot tub and fully kitted out kitchen with everything you would need for a stay. Only downside was the very poor shower - no pressure at all and lack of upstairs loo as well as no dressing tables in any bedrooms. But we had a great time and the hotel is also lovely with very clean rooms for other guests plus a great swimming pool. Will definitely be back for a stay.

I’ve stayed here dozens of times over many years, I believe that currently the hotel is in the best shape it’s ever been, apart from the old original windows. Special mention to the chef who has does a great job.

Amazing stay!
We had an amazing stay at this hotel recently - the staff were so welcoming and kind, the food was delicious, great portions and the hotel had wonderful facilities. We will definitely return and would definitely recommend it!

We had a bad start arrived 2.50 the paperwork did state check in 3pm asked to sit and wait 10-15 mins given that we had travelled from Scotland.We were allocated a room at end of a corridor next door to a boiler room this was quite noisy.We went back to reception to say we live in the country and not used to the noise we seen another receptionist and was given an upgrade of another room which was lovely do not accept room 126 if you want peace and quiet .

Nice stay in a stunning location.
We just stayed fir a night on our way home from holiday to see family. The hotel itself looks stunning, with great views all round and lovely decor. As you enter the driveway, the signing is non existent, so trying to find reception was a bit of a nightmare. Then when we got there, there was only one receptionist dealing with someone from a wedding part so had to wait for quite a while to be checked in. Our room was lively, very plush with a gazillion pillows on the beds! Lovely added touches with the coffee machine and sundries. Wouldve liked hooks on the back of the bathroom door to hang towels as there was nowhere to put them to dry. Disappointed to be woken early the next morning by next door having breakfast delivered and the employee delivering it saying very loudly that it was room service. This was around 6am. The pool was nice, although neither of the jacuzzis was working and its starting to look like it needs a refresh. There are bags for wet swimwear but a more sustainable solution might be to have a spinner. Breakfast was ok. It was self serve except for hot drinks. The eggs were as you'd expect under a heat lamp so would be nice to be able to order fresh eggs. Good selection of pastries. Check out was again a bit slow as there was only one person on. During these busier times, id expect them to have additional resource available to not keep people wairing too long. Overall a nice stay but a few things for the venue to improve.

Three night stay was very pleasant as usual,,rooms nice and clean...good selection of tea,,coffee,, chocolate etc... Nice bar food and top notch lagers..and nice relaxing surroundings...the breakfast is really good,,,only complaint I would have is we don't like the sausage,,( to spicy for us for breakfast )...so possible look at an alternative plain one as well...but everything else is fab....The leisure centre pool is getting tired,,and lacks some things,,steam room,, nice rainwater type,,shower,,jacuzzi is to small,,or needs another one added... Plunge pool never has water in it...and sauna isn't hot enough...(so my wife says). But apart from that,, Derwent Manor is great
