"B&B with out breakfast!"
Family room was lovely, saying that the sink in the bathroom leaked at the bottom, so had water running out over the floor. The place was clean and comfortable and the staff very friendly.

"Clean, comfortable."
We stayed one night. The inn lacks charm but is very well located with public transport into the center right across the street. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. WIFI was good.

"Faultless!"
From Anita's lovely warm welcome to the delicious breakfast our one night stay at Dales Farm was outstanding! "If I'd known you were coming I'd have baked a cake." We've all heard that saying, well Anita did know we were coming and she did bake us a cake to enjoy with our lovely cup of tea on arrival. A lovely homely touch and a perfect start to a faultless overnight stay. Anyone looking for an example of good customer service should spend a night here.

Pocket Guide: Bed and Breakfast Hotels in Durham

County Durham in the North East of England is a great place for a holiday. The county town, Durham, is packed full of popular attractions, including Durham Cathedral and Durham Castle, both constructed during Norman times. Head out of this cathedral city and you'll discover some beautiful countryside, such as Durham Dales and the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural beauty. While there are plenty of hotels in the region, bed & breakfasts are a great alternative, ideal for a couple's holiday or romantic retreat.

Enjoy a Comfortable Stay at Durham Bed and Breakfast Hotels

If you're looking for a unique place to stay that offers the personal touch, you might consider a bed and breakfast. All bed and breakfasts are unique, often hidden gems that are a little off the beaten track. Typically privately run, a good bed and breakfast will go out of its way to make you feel welcome, with a delicious homemade breakfast and comfortable, well decorated rooms. Bed and breakfasts aren't generic, and each one will have its own charming character - so it's definitely worth shopping around to find that perfect place to stay!

In County Durham, many period buildings have been lovingly converted into amazing bed and breakfasts. The Old Mill Bed and Breakfast in Yarm, just outside of Middlesbrough is, surprisingly enough, a former mill, converted into a 15-room family-friendly bed and breakfast and conveniently placed for top local tourist attractions like butterfly Park. Many Durham bed and breakfast hotels are conveniently located if you're looking for adventure in the stunning regional countryside. Ladywell House B&B is located on the edge of the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where you'll find a lot of amazing natural landmarks, such as High Force and Low Force waterfalls - a great place for a hike or bike ride.

    Durham Bed and Breakfast Hotels

While many bed and breakfasts are found out in the country, particularly if they are converted country houses or farmhouses, you'll also find many with city-centre locations. High View Guest House offers all the benefits of a bed and breakfast, along with a convenient locale in the heart of Durham, close to popular attractions such as Durham Castle and the Oriental Museum - both roughly six miles away.
