Perfect location, clean, surprisingly quiet

Posted 09-Jul-2017
Location is everything, especially when you're traveling in the summer months and don't feel like walking 2 miles to see each landmark. This hotel is in the center of everything and that's why we picked it. However, considering its fantastic location as decent price, I didn't expect much from the inside. We had a basic room for just me and my wife, but this included a bed (comfortable) and a kitchen and a bathroom that, although narrow, did the job and was ultra clean. The room was made up each day and the door and lock to our room resembled that of a small bank vault. We felt safe, and couldn't believe how quiet the place was (considering the location, especially). The hotel staff was helpful, pleasant, and attentive. For example, I needed an iron and the woman at the desk was checking in several guests, so she told me she would deliver it to my room within an hour. She did just that and couldn't have been more pleasant on a chaotic day. This was my third time in the city and this hotel was leaps and bounds above the rest. If and when we return to Florence, we will never stay anywhere else.

Apartment hotel close to everything

Posted 02-Jul-2017
Pros: The location and the "feel" of the hotel. It made you feel like a local not some tourist. The wi-fi. The router was in the living room! Strong signal.
Cons: I was quite nervous that the a/c would not cool the bedroom. A little adjustment of the vents assuaged my fears.
Location: Eat, drink and have gelato.
The hotel overlooks the piazza della signoria. The piazza is very loud. I heard NOTHING. Only when we opened the window to see what the weather was like did we hear the noise. Not at night, not during the day, not in the morning. It is steps from the Palazzio Vecchio and the Uffizi Gallery. The Duomo is 2 blocks down. Those 2 blocks are lined with places to eat and shop. A great walk. The Ponte Vecchio is a short walk away. Not a hard walk by any means.

Feel like a downtown resident of Florence.

These apartments are very centrally located and almost feel like a hotel because the administration is in the same building.

Centrally Located

Posted 12-Jun-2017
Pros: Central location. Helpful staff.
Location: Santa Croce Basilica, Uffizi, The Academia, Ponte Vecchio Bridge, many restaurants and cafes, great shopping
You are in the heart of Florence at the Plaza Signoria. We arrived by taxi from the airport but never stepped into another vehicle until we left the city by train for Cinque Terre. We were in walking distance to all attractions. We visited the Duomo and Academia and could also easily walk to the Ponte Vecchio Bridge. The staff was very helpful in arranging dinner reservations for us and we had an excellent dinner at 4 Leoni. Our apartment was quiet and secure, however, we must have booked the most basic of rooms, as we had no view at all.

Great apartment in the heart of the city

Posted 09-Jun-2017
Pros: Only the view from the balcony and the spacious of the apartment can overshadow it's awesome location.
Cons: Fix water pressure issue in the shower Hotel's service and lobby are only available from 9:00-18:00 which can be a bit problematic for visitors
Location: Uffizi Museum is 2 min. Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore 5 min. Go eat at The cat and the Fox. Great winery in Tuscany: Castello di Verrazzano
Our stay at Relais Piazza Signoria was truly great. The location of the hotel is in the heart of the city and about five min walk from every major attraction the city has to offer. The panoramic view of the city and of Piazza della Signoria from our apartment balcony on the top floor, was breathtaking! especially during sunset hours. ** Note that the room was on the 7th floor, when the hotel elevator can get you only to the 6th, so you have to carry by yourself your luggage for one floor. The apartment itself was very spacious, clean and welcoming. We spent so much time on the balcony watching the piazza and the rest of the city. ** Our only main critic regarding the apartment, was the shower. Throwout out entire stay in Relais Piazza Signoria water pressure was always extremely low and a shower that should have taken 5 mins took 20.

From the time we got there till the time we left, it was perfect. The location of the hotel in Florence could'nt of been better for walking, we felt has if we were in the middle of everything. The staff deserves a 10, the room was very nice and clean. We really enjoyed florence and the Relais della Signoria has made it a very comfortable stay.

Florence for a wedding

Posted 20-May-2017
Pros: Spacious apartments, location very central and yet quiet inside, wonderful windows to open to the back of building. Friendly staff, very modern.
Cons: It was perfect.
Location: Literally, you could do anything from here, right on the Piazza della Signoria. Quick walk to train & rental cars, gardens and famous buildings.
We were going to Florence to celebrate a family wedding in the middle of a vacation journey and wanted a relaxing, convenient hotel. This was it. Perfect location for seeing the sights, taking a tour, shopping and stopping "home" between wedding events. With a small kitchen, a spacious apartment and wonderful bathroom, we could take a break from the city hopping hotels and inns before and after the event and relax. Staff was helpful as to events, locations around Florence and even the closest laundromat!

Honeymoon Stop

Posted 03-May-2017 on Hotels
It was in a very busy and central area of Florence. It took us a little bit to find it because it was so subtle. It doesn't look like a hotel, and there's only a small plaque next to an unmarked door to tell you what it is. It's situated between two cafes/gelato places on Viacherichia (spelling is definitely wrong). The accommodations are excellent. It really is an apartment and it was a very comfortable stay. Despite being in such a busy area, it was very quiet.
