Good hotel with an issue

Posted 16-Oct-2017
Generally good hotel. Friendly & helpful staff at desk. Two issues: they assigned a room the first night that required going up steep stairs (even though we chose this hotel because we needed lift access) and after giving us a more accessible room for the rest of our stay the maid transferring our luggage broke two handles on one suitcase such that we to buy a replacement for which we have to use our travel insurance to cover it.

Great location

Posted 11-Oct-2017
Excellent location close to everything. Bathroom had a constant leakage in the toilet and they said is because it’s an old building. The waste of water was terrible plus is noisy.

location

Pros: location and larger rooms
Cons: earlier breakfasts
Location: central Florence by the Duomo
This hotel has a great central location close to the train station and other important things to do in Florence.

Close to Duomo

Posted 08-Oct-2017
This hotel is in a great location close to the Duomo, Uffizi, shopping, cafes. The lift only goes to the 3rd floor, so if your room is on the 4th, then it's a bit awkward dragging suitcases up (and down) that last flight of stairs. The electrical outlets seemed a bit dodgy- only one worked to recharge our phones.

great location but needs many repairs

Posted 13-Aug-2017
Pros: location ....that's it
Cons: hire a repairman
Location: close to everything including the train station (10 minute walk)
we stay here for 3 nights in July on the 2nd city of our 2 week trip . Location is the best thing of this hotel. our bed and bathroom was clean but unfortunately that is all that was good . It seems to be receiving a lack of regular maintenance overall which is leading to a lot of bad reviews. the air conditioner broke on our 3rd day and no replacement room was offered , we were leaving the next morning and decided to go out and enjoy the most beautiful city of our whole trip instead . they did give us some towels to cover the TV as it the AC unit was leaking all over it and we advised the front desk not to blame us if the Tv was ruined because of it. breakfast was a typical basic assortment that never changed all 3 days but it was good . front desk workers were all polite and very nice .

Great location, pretty good bargain for the price. Very courteous and helpful staff. Especially, Mr Massimo was unforgettably helpful. I had forgotten my backpack in a taxi, and he helped me locate the taxi within minutes after I called him asking for help, and the taxi driver delivered the bag to me within 10 minutes. Breakfast is really good.

perfect location

Posted 03-Jul-2017
Pros: nice staff, and excellent location
Cons: the breakfast was really horrible - I tried twice but then decided it was better to go out and spend 5 euros on 2 excellent coffees and a fruit bun
nice enough stay - looked a bit rundown and grubby (and room smelt strongly of disinfectant) but then it's an old hotel and it is reasonably priced, given the location

Not Superior

Got a sad old little room at the end of a long dark hallway, and it had one small little window, and thin mattress. Did not look like main photos–I booked to save some cash, but just was not worth the price.
