Pretty average for a superior king room. Basic everything, small bathroom, small shower cubical. Room was functional for a one night stay but no where near worth the rate charged (due to Pink being in town) Staff friendly and helpful although no warning of surcharge being applied for using credit card for payment.

The staff at this hotel were fantastic at sorting out our 3 booking, (3 nights), that had been messed up by Wotif. Although we arrived with the confirmation of our Wotif booking, Wotif had not sent this through to the hotel. The staff at reception spent time trying to find us a room for our required 3 nights, and they managed this by upgrading us from the room we had originally booked through Wotif. Staff were patient, knowledgeable and communicated well with us. We are STILL trying to communicate with Wotif, to get a coupon, but it has been extremely difficult to get this finalised! Scenic Hotel staff—excellent…Wotif—frustrating!

Located in the city centre, was easy walk to the town centre, the museum, railway station, university, food options. You must call ahead to book parking space, cant have parking on arrival.

Room was spacious and clean. It had everything we needed to be comfortable for 2 nights. The hotel is located close to the Octagon, which is kind of like the downtown of Dunedin. We had access to everything important within walkable distance, including the bus hub. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to visit Dunedin. In fact, my wife and I will likely stay here again should we make another trip there.

Another great stay here, Hard to fault this hotel. The only issue is car parking …. If you aren’t fast enough to get an underground park, which has a fee attached to it, then you are on the street!

We didnt like our stay 480 for 7 hours stay i had booked a room thinking it had 2 bedrooms or the room had interlocking doors did not know till morning it was the room next door my second bdrm was not told or shown where our room was had to guess what floor. All this at midnight not plesant stay 2 adults 3 kids 2 beds one room.

Huge room but felt that the decor was very dated. Very central location and car park very easy to use although I wasn’t aware it needed to be pre-booked, luckily it wasn’t fully booked.

Really spacious and spotlessly clean room with everything we needed. Room was very quiet too and staff were excellent - looked after our bags, showed us how to get around, let us know when the shuttle arrived..

A comfortable city break.
Very welcoming & efficient staff who allowed us to take the room early as we arrived at 12pm The room was large, well equipped with fridge, ironing board, kettle, cups, mugs, tea & coffee. The white bed linen & towels were good quality. The hotel is very well located in the centre of the city close to restaurants & shops.
