Bathroom mirror was too low . Wash sink in Bathroom was too small .Well appointed kitchen Comfortable beds .handy to town .Walkable to most places Easy check in .

We booked the Sahara as it was a 15min walk to Forsyth Barr stadium. Location, parking and price were the main considerations for our family of 4. Got the feeling Jacinda might have a few of her professional beneficiaries living there?? But thats just an assumption. Otherwise it was clean and served our purpose to see the highlanders

It was close to a conference I was attending. And inexpensive. It’s old and rundown. I sat on the floor of my room and as my hand slid across the carpet, two hairs stuck to it—a short dark one and a long blonde one. Upon closer inspection, the carpet really needed a good vacuuming.

2 night stay in Wellington
We had room 7 in the main house. It could be a great room but needs a complete refurbishment. The bed was so soft you just rolled into the middle, so not the best nights sleep. The weather was good so did not have to stop in the room. There was a main lounge with a kitchen where you could make a cup of tea or coffee. We didn't pay a lot of money for the room but it was one of the worse we had stayed in over the 4 weeks we were travelling.

Spacious room close to everything
The staff were all helpful and friendly, the room was large but dated but had everything you needed. Laundry facilities were free which was great since we were on a 3week trip. Located close to downtown but also close to Otago University.

The staff there were very helpfull. When I was told that I had to leave my dogs inside my truck because no animals were allowed in the guest house I asked to up grade. This was done at a very good price and allowed me to have my dogs inside. A huge thank you to the staff. They also helped me find my way around Dunedin. Would stay again if they would have me and my dogs.

I canot beleive they are allowed to operate the guest house. The lights above the bed were down to the wires, no electrical test tags. The paint was falling off the ceiling. The carpet was horifically stained and ancient, the bed covers should have been thrown out 30 years ago and nothing felt clean...the old musty smell was awful, and to top it off there was no hot water to shower in the ensuite! When complained to staff on check out that there was no hot water, care factor was zilch no offer of discount! #cantbeleivehaventbeencloseddown.

Handy location.
Great location for a motel, close to eateries and shops. Our unit was quiet and the beds comfy and clean. Kitchenette had all the useful things to cook a real meal. Unfortunately the cutlery and plates were just a bit shabby in the “clean” department. And there was a damp smell in the unit that looked like it came from near the shower - but also looked like it had been remedied and hopefully was in the process of drying out. These are small issues though, in what was otherwise a comfortable stay. We’d stay again.

Lovely B & B on the edge of the Dunedin CBD has a variety of rooms ranging from shared bathrooms to ensuite at very reasonable prices. Facilities are kept up and the original building is quite historic dating to the late 19th century.. WiFi worked great, data allowance was adequate. Staff are pleasant and very professional, free off street parking is a wonderful capability in this area. Location is very walkable and is an excellent value.

The motel is old and the upkeep has been neglected. The staff member who quoted "i've worked here for over 20 years" was nothing but rude when we enquired about sheets for the sofa bed, which we had booked. The staff member who we had spoke to on our first stay ensured us the sheets would be made available on our return but all we received was abuse when we enquired about this.

Great location, but in dire need of refurbishment.
Location great, Paul (owner? manager?) was very friendly and forthcoming, despite the room looking toward busy George St, it was fairly quiet. Room was big, but very worn down, carpet horrible, I hated to step on it barefoot, 3 beds, but no chair, had to sit on the floor. In the bathroom no bathmat, had to use the hand towel and no shampoo/conditioner, just some small bars of soap. Could only get 1 decent TV channel, WiFi said it could not connect to network, so a no-go here either. Had no cance to tell Paul since reception was not manned when I left. Next time I would ask for a motel room in the back or go elsewhere and spend a few dollars more.
