The property is inside the old town where no vehicle is allowed but 500 meters away. The operator was kind enough to meet us on arrival after midnight and helped us to bring the baggage up 3 floors to the property. The major shortfall was there was no attendant during the day , any request could take an hour as the operator stays an hour away. On midnight of our first day, no toilet roll was there and they were delivered in the afternoon of 2nd day. Our room are spacious and a living and kitchen facility in the penthouse. The location is fantastic in touring the old town with plenty of restaurants and shops around.

Great apartment and fantastic location
The apartment was amazing and right inside the old city next to the church. Perfect location and beautiful apartment with living room and kitchen upstairs. The apartment is located on the top floor (3 flights of stairs) and has no lift. Water is safe to drink out of the tap. A lovely stay in dubrovnik.

This property is in a great central location within the walls of the old walled city. A perfect location for those without transportation. The hostess was very helpful in arranging transportation and accommodating our requests. Anyone with bad knees should be aware that they must climb 55 steps to reach the front door of this apartment, and then there are additional steps inside the apartment that are used to access its kitchen and living rooms.

We have allocated in the city center on the flat part but since our building is renaissance building from the 16th century it has a couple of stairs but it is worth the view and perfect location. Excellent centrally placed property. We were on top floor 56 stairs to climb. Ok for us but a disaster if you are in a wheelchair or unable to climb stairs.

Locations is superb and the apartment is delightful. The Wifi failed, which can happen and despite it being Saturday evening the owner managed to get us sorted by Sunday.

Spacious apartment in a perfect location
An excellent location, in the heart of the old city. Apartment was huge and very traditional. Apartment isn't immaculate and there are a few small improvements that could be made such as improved shower head (difficult to fix in place over bath) etc but it didn't spoil our stay or experience in any way. Would highly recommend this apartment for its location and traditional charm.

Great great great location !!! amenites lacking
Just had 4 nights here...location great but can be Very noisy....bar noise till 2am then church bells overnight all night every hour. Not mentioned when booking. What upsets me... tripavisor previous guests months ago reported the issues we had...a broken washing machine and broken shower also no hot water the first evening as it had been turned off !!! Folks - you need to fix these things !!!! I intend to seek compensation as it wasn’t a cheap stay....expected 4 stars...as advertised

Dear Mark, Thank you so much for sharing your experience. We 're sorry that the apartment did not meet up your expactations. The apartment boasts a premium location next St Blaise church and a minute walk from the main street Stadun -flat part of the city. In summer time, as being so central, it is also more lively. All Secret apartments have double glazzing and wood shutters to prevent from any potential noise. The location near the St Blaise is not a hidden fact and as TRIPADVISOR follower, some of our guests already mentionned the bells. It is part of the old city's charm. A great location but for those looking for a quiet central accomodation, the Old town might not be the right place expecially in summer time. The washmachine broke indeed end of June - actually the start button was broken. It was fixed meanwhile and again broke. The wasmachine is hence no longer in use. We 're sorry for any inconveniences. The bathroom comes with a bathtub - and a hand held shower. As for the hot water, it is common in Croatia to have boiler. We mentionned it on your arrival and it is written in the guidebook we provide in the apartment. If you turn it off, you run out of water. We clearly stated it to be careful and sorry that you turn it of accidently the first night you arrived. We apologise for any inconveniences regarding the washmachine and - as for the location and the city noise, we cannot unfortunatly have any action on. Thank you once again for sharing your comments. Nice room right in the city center
Wonderful and spacious apartment. Only downside is that it is situated above a restaurant with loud disco music until 1am. Location could not be any better

Wonderfully spacious apartment right in the heart if the old town. We were met by Maria who was very friendly, helpful and informative. Two features of these apartments that some people may regard as drawbacks (we didn’t). First, our apartment (Secret Apartment III) was reachable only up two long flights of stairs - and there is one more small flight in the apartment. Second, while the double-glazing offers good sound-proofing from the city noises, it is defenceless against the bells of St Blaise’s which are directly across the street. They are not rung too regularly, but once at 8:00, which was interesting... If you can cope with these features, then you will have a wonderful time here in the heart of the Old City.

A gem in Dubrovnik
The apartment was in a perfect location within the 'old town' of Dubrovnik, we had a great time walking at all hours of the day and night, always felt perfectly safe and could enjoy everything happening in the square and streets below. Dubrovnik is a gem and bursting with beautiful restaurants, wine, views, cats and suprises! We loved every minute of our stay and this location.

Well Located and Spacious Apartment in Old Town
it was a perfect stay, tooo spacious and roomy. We were not expecting such an amazing apartment and that to right in the main square. There was nothing that we could complain about the bed, kitchen, bathroom everything was just perfect. As with all apartments in the old town you need to climb stairs but that is a normal thing with every other apartment in the old town. Some suggestions though for improvements, toiletries may be in limited volumes but should be provided.

Great apartment in a great location.
Great apartment in a great location. Communication with Ana to arrange meeting time was easy, and I felt she was always available to answer any questions I might send her (though I didn't need to!). Like most places in Dubrovnik steps are involved! Apartment is spacious, with all necessary amenities, and being on two levels makes it feel very special. And one could hardly be more central!

Beautiful apartment
Ana came and met us on arrival to walk us to the apartment and show us around. It was perfect- much larger than expected, over two floors with all amnesties needed. We felt like locals with our beautiful, central 'home' to go back to each day. The views from the windows over the rooftops of Dubrovnic were amazing.

What an amazing location, with a fourth floor window over looking the main square in Dubrovnik. The two story apartment was perfect for a family of four. Little confusion at check in (my fault for not getting in contact before we left our previous location, because our "American" cell phones did not always work while we were traveling in Croatia). The girl that did greet us was very informative and even told us were we could park for free over the duration of our stay.

Lovely apartment in central location
From the moment Ann's met us with the keys and introduced us to the apartment it was an excellent experience.The building could not be better placed right in the centre.The kitchen is well appointed and the living room great to relax in -particularly when we arrived the Spanish guitar player was outside! JUST one point -the pillows were on the hard side for us.Otherwise excellent!

Nice apartment but many missing facilities
Although it is a nice, clean apartment in a convenient location there were a few missing facilities that were advertised. There was no DVD player. There was no iPod dock (or Bose speaker as shown in the photos) There were no toiletries (as advertised except for handwash) The safe didn’t work. Another annoyance was the shower attachment was broken before we arrived, thus meaning that the shower head had to be held during showering! Also, the basic kitchen equipment could be improved. The missing facilities were not mentioned to the vendor until check out, but we don’t expect to ask for facilities that are advertised on hotels.com. The upfront communication & initial check in was good with helpful tips for Dubrovnik.

Well located serviced apartment
We enjoyed a week at this well equipped apartment. The best feature was the large floor plan with two levels and well equipped kitchen. Furnishings are a little dated but clean and in the centre of the old town. The three floor walk-up may be a concern for some, but view from top floor of the local church steeple was worth the walk.

This is a fabulous, beautiful apartment right in the heart of Old Town, Dubrovnik. It would be hard to find a better location. The apartment is very spacious, and comes with a modern and very clean bathroom and kitchen. The washer was great to get our laundry done in the middle of a 2-week vacation. Our guide Ana was fabulous and very helpful. She met us with the keys to the apartment and helped us arrange for a tour of the City. I would stay here again and recommend it to friends.

Location location location
What a great apartment to stay in. The location, right in the heart of the old town, is really worth paying a little bit more for. We were smug every time we went back to the flat. Everything you want is within very close walking distance. The quality of the apartment is also very high, finished beautifully and very spacious. Kitchen and living space is a welcome addition as allows you to relax and enjoy time in the flat before / after sightseeing. Would really recommend staying here...

We ended up not staying at this specific apartment because there was a mix up with the reservation. Victor places us in another apartment that was just a block away and was absolutely fabulous. Victor was also very accommodating in getting us more ice trays for the freezer since there was only one tiny one that would be good for only 2 drinks. We had a great time

Loved it! Great location in the center of town, friendly & helpful staff (Viktor was great to work with!), spacious, clean, and comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay and wish we had more time. The location cannot be beaten as it is in the center of everything and does not require carrying your bags throughout town which is loaded with stairs. One minor detail to be aware of is that while the property is in the middle of everything you get a bit of noise from the restaurants below which is to be expected. The noise drops off and eventually disappears when it's time for bed so for us it was not an issue plus the property has high quality insulated windows that block the majority of the noise. Added bonus, we were serenaded by the live guitar/violins of the restaurant below which further added to the lovely ambiance. Seriously loved every detail of our stay here!!

Great Apartment in the heart of old town
This great spacious apartment was in the heart of old down with plenty of restaurants and atmosphere in the area to make this an enjoyable stay. Ana who checked us in was very helpful in showing us all the best places to eat and where all the activities are located. The apartment was well air conditioned which we definitely needed with the Dubrovnik heat. A pleasure to stay in this apartment and would stay here when we visit Dubrovnik again. As this is in the heart of old town it can be noisy at night with local musicians playing at the restaurant below but for us this just further added to the fantastic atmosphere.

This is a very nice apartment and relaxing considering you are in the middle of everything. Cannot be faulted and worth the extra money for an extra special location and stay. Slight confusion on checking in and collecting keys ... advice is to just call the owners with a specific time however you arrive - albeit we had a little trouble trying to connect with phones etc... it was all sorted.

Secret Apartments - Best Spot in Old Dubrovnik
We arrived through the Ploce Gate to Old Town Dubrovnik with only a short walk to the apartment which was situated on the 2nd floor of the town square building. They say location is everything and this was close to all attractions. We stayed in Apartment one, it was roomy and clean with all facilities available, dish washer, clothes washer, microwave, cook top, fridge and all cooking utilities. The king size bed was firm but comfortable. It was high tourist season (mid August) and it was very busy. The walled city was magical with adventures around every street corner. We were very lucky as there were many concerts being performed, many for free. The old town was extremely clean and safe, not a gypsy in sight. It was expensive to eat in the old town but if you walked a short distance beyond the wall prices were reasonable.

A delightful apartment in a central location
This delightful, quirky apartment is located right in the heart of the old city of Dubrovnik. There is a fruit and veg market, a supermarket and plenty of restaurants nearby. There is a small basic kitchen, for the preparation of simple meals, a fridge and sufficient cutlery crockery and glasses. A sitting area has magazines and a TV. There is some information on local attractions, restaurants, though more on opening hours of attractions would have been appreciated. Do be aware that there are 55 steps up to the apartment and no lift, so this would not be suitable for anyone with a disability. There are more steps within the apartment to the upper level.

Secret Apartment #3 highly recommended
We stayed in the Secret Apartment #3 in Old Town Dubrovnik. The #3 is on 2 floors, bedroom and bathroom on the 3rd floor and the kitchen and lounge is another few stairs above that. The apartment to very nice and a nicely stocked kitchen. It is right next to the St. Blaise Church, in fact you might get a shock when you are lying in bed and the bells ring. The owners Isabelle and Viktor are so helpful and always responded to emails in a timely fashion. I think I would be tempted to not stay in Old Town Dubrovnik again as it is just was too much like Disney with all the tourist, I would prefer to stay in one of the other villages and take a bus to the old town. BUT - if I ever did stay in Old Town again, it would be at the Secret Apartments. They are excellent.

Great location and lovely apartment
We had a lovely time in a beautiful city. This apartment is just off the main square and is close to all the main attractions in Dubrovnik. The local management team are really informative and provide great recommendations. If you plan to self cater the kitchen is very small and not equipped to enable preparation of a full dinners. More for light snakes and breakfast.

GREAT location...middle of the old city
The apartment was very nice...right in the middle of the old city with a view of one of the main squares of the city. While the Apartment itself was modern in its décor and facilities...the building it was part of the old city and must have been hundreds of years old. The only drawback being that the stairway was a bit of a climb and did not have bannisters for all parts of the climb (This location is not recommended for people with any ambulatory issues). The manager was nice, although it should be understood that this is an apartment and not a hotel. Daily maintenance for any goods needed will be your responsibility.
