Prima verblijf in oude stad

Posted 24-Oct-2015 on Hotels

Great location in the old town

Posted 23-Oct-2015
Pros: Location, location and pretty quiet.
Cons: Nice to have small breakfast
Close to the Pile Gate, only 30 or so stone steps up from the Stradun. Very hospitable host Anka happy to help with advice, toting luggage, or finding information. Very close to vegan restaurant Nishta which has excellent and reasonably priced food.

Friendliest Host around

Posted 13-Oct-2015 on Hotels
We stayed here for 4 nights in September. Located right in the midst of everything, in the walled city. Very cute, rustic hotel with personalized service. Anika was super friendly and helpful with all our questions. A 65 step climb to the room, but loved sitting on the steps with a glass of wine and chatting to all the people going by. Would stay again.

Pros: Central location, close to all sites and walking street. far enough away from restaurants/ bars that sleep was no problem
Cons: Not a good hotel if you have issues with stairs as it is halfway up the hillside (Old Town is a walled city)
After you spend 2-3 days in Dubrovnik, recommend that you rent a car or take a tour of nearby towns. Beautiful beaches, clear warm water, wine country. Dubrovnik itself has rocky beach access

Convenient for the Old City, don't expect a modern

Posted 18-Sep-2015 on Hotels
Excellent place to stay within the walls, very convenient. Spoilt for choice with many restaurants around. Dubrovnik can be very busy but up the steps away from it here is lovely. Anka is so so friendly and so so helpful, the facilities available are generous. Beware of the 42 steps with a heavy suitcase! take the first street on the left just past Pile Gate then right on the street of many restaurants - it is a lot easier than just heading for the fourth street on the left!!
