Charming hotel in the old city

Posted 10-Aug-2017
Pros: I loved the location in the old city. The quaint rooms and the wonderful hospitality shown by Nicolina.
Cons: I cannot think of anything I would change.
Location: inside the walled city of Dubrovnik is just amazing and then there are the museums,
Wished I had stayed longer. Enjoyed my two nights in the charming attic room although the shower was on the small side. Nicolina was a wonderful host and offered advice on where to eat and what to see.

Great location, the staff made it EASY to find.

We stayed here 4 nights and liked the location....it was very easy to get around in the old town, however after four nights we were happy to move on to a bigger room. If we had stayed here just two nights I do not think we would have minded the small-ish sizes of the rooms and tiny tiny bathroom...but hey, this is the old town. The immediate area around the hotel is not as charming as many places in the old town but it is a very convenient location. The staff is wonderful. The breakfast (bring your own food) room is tiny. Could use a REAL coffee machine....an espresso in the morning instead of instant coffee would have been much nicer!

Super place to stay in the Old Town

We loved our stay at Sigurata - great central position, lovely room with stone exposed walls, immaculately clean and Romana could not have been more helpful. Highly recommended.

Very good hotel in a very good location. Very friendly Nicolina gives you advice about places to see and restaurants to eat. Very clean and comfortable. There is small kitchen where you can make tea and coffee and if you want to make breakfast. Wi-Fi is very good and very fast. There is nothing to fault this hotel. Highly recommended.

Great little hotel in the centre of the old town

Posted 20-Apr-2017 on Hotels
This place is an absolute bargain. In the old heart of the old town, everywhere is within walking distance and no steps to climbing when you arrive. Had a lovely welcome from Romana, who gave me a map of the city and showed me where all the tourist attractions are. The room was clean with its own bathroom, much big and better than I was expected given how little I was paying for a room within the old walls. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Such a lovely place

I just loved Villa Sigurata. Nicolina really made you feel welcome and gives you as many advice as you want about the town. She alsolives locally so can be there if needed. Such a nice host. You also have access to a little kitchen with coffee and tea so very useful for breakfast or a light snack. I would recommend and will not even look for another place if i had to go back. Such a good value for money as well.

Perfect accomodation in the Old Town

Posted 06-Jan-2017
Pros: Location Cleanliness
Cons: The hotel location is not easy to find, the description sent by Nikolina is for those not familiar to the Old Town a bit complicated to understand.
Great location in the heart of the Old Town. The rooms are very clean, the bed very confortable. The building has been renovated, really good overall condition. The contact with Nikolina has been since the booking very straight forward, she's very friendly and has great tips for restaurants, places to see and explore the region - the Day Trip to Montenegro is really worth.

Convenient and comfortable weekend in Dubrovnik

Posted 02-Nov-2016 on Hotels
My hotel room at Villa Sigurata was situated right behind the cathedral, central to everything in the Old Town. It wasn't too hard to find at all. The welcome was warm and personal and I had absolutely no qualms whatsoever. I read a lot of reviews complaining about certain aspects, but really the only true one was that the towels were not the softest -- but if you are traveling to Croatia for soft towels, well, rethink your priorities :) The room was big enough for 2 people to use as a base while exploring, but don't expect any luxury. For one person, it's ideal. It has all of the essentials in a clean setting, a quiet street, and at fair prices. I would go back for sure.
