The hotel is nice, helpful staff but awful acoustic design. The noise level in the bar/restaurant is excessive and spills into the reception area. The prolific use of notices is ridiculous, there are notices to operate the lift, the bath taps, sustainability, etc. These notices make a lot of assumptions, namely; that everyone can read, can read english, can read english in small font, can read english in small font in poor light. You also get some complimentary drinks and snacks but others are an additional cost but don't worry there is a small notice on which are complimentary and which are free. Why, in a room that costs €400 per night during off season, charge for snacks that would cost €20 in a Cash and Carry. Do what they do on the continent, remove the expensive drinks from the mini-bar, replace with a couple of cokes and water, offer less snacks and make it all complimentary. Charging for this and not that seems cheap.
As I have already stated, the hotel is clean (ignoring the ring stains on the marble topped nightstands), quiet (unless other guests close their doors at night, each door bangs like a gun shot) and comfortable (once you read the notice on the four different type of pillows that all feel the same).
