The property was in an excellent location. The staff were lovely. The cleanliness of our room was terrible. Covered in dust on wall behind beds, behind beds was thick with dust, ceiling had mould and carpet was a trip hazard by bathroom door. Our friends had another room and their room was lovely. Hotel is going through a refurbishment so I think we just got unlucky. It was shame as on paper it was great and as mentions the staff were all lovely and really central for what we wanted.

Hotel is clean and tidy, good value for money, and I a really central location. We stayed in room 105 which was a lot bigger than some of the other rooms but it was like sleeping in the street outside the temple bar pub, was so noisy and didn’t get much sleep. Windows are the issue, very old and draughty and not double glazed hence the noise!

Bad experience after marathon
Awfully cramped single room with overflowing shower tray! Skylight rusty & dirty. No lift in hotel. Too hot at night & noisy. Wouldn't stay again if free!

Great property right in the heart of everything. The room and shower are quite small but as a solo traveler, if was just fine for me. Bed and pillows are very comfortable for a cheaper hotel and the room was nice and warm. No elevator but shower pressure is great too!

The fire alarm went off 2 of my 4 nights there for about 3 minutes each time which was a little annoying, my bathroom had a bad smell but it wasn’t bad as long as you left the fan on and the door closed. The location was amazing the longest I had to walk to an attraction was 26 minutes which wasn’t bad and the staff were super nice

This is the absolutely best location for a hotel in Dublin. Nothing can beat sleeping above the Temple Bar. Everything is a close walking distance. Rooms may be small, but they have the most comfortable beds. Quite perfect.

Avoid- room and hotel was not as advertised
Pictures of the room I booked were nothing as advertised. Instead of nice double beds we had tiny twin beds with velour violet wall coverings! The bathroom smelled foul, there is no lift but tons of stairs to deal with and as a final insult the room cost over €200. I know where I will NOT be staying the next time I’m in Dublin. Very disappointed in hotels.com for this one.

The hotel was under renovations, our room was so clean and almost all redone. We had a wonderful stay. So close to everything.. a bit noisy in the evenings as we were close to the famous Temple Bar pup. But hotel was really clean.

I have never been charged to much for so little! We could barely move in the room and had to schlep all of our luggage up to the 3rd floor because there is no lift! The bathroom smelled AWFUL and even though they came an bleached it, it smelled just as bad by the end of the night! Would NOT recommend for ANYONE to stay there!

When me and my partner arrived to check in to the property, we were greeted by a very rude member of staff who pulled a face when we walked through the door, after a very quick check in (didn’t even ask for my name or details) we went up to the room, there was a broken window blind, which didn’t cover the window therefore light was coming in 24/7 and it was unsafe as there were wires hanging out. I do have pictures of this. There was mold around the windows also. When we checked out the member of staff was actually doing her makeup behind the desk and again didn’t ask how the stay was or any details ect. Very disappointing in my stay here, down to cleanliness and rude staff.

Convenient location.
Great location but the room is tiny. And i mean i had to sit on the toilet to brush my teeth tiny, sit up in bed and make coffee by my husbands feet tiny. And it was an up and down maze to get to the room. I guess you pay for location.

Perfect stay in the centre of it all
The perfect stay in the centre of it all. Had an awesome time. Enjoyed the nightlife and the bustle of the street below. The only caution is that it is noisy and busy (which is exactly what we were looking for) but if that’s not your thing then this hotel may not be for you

The staff was friendly and kind! The room was pretty small, but we knew that going in and wasn’t surprised. However, because the building is old, there is no central air, so on days when it was very stuffy in the room, it made relaxing hard. There was a small window we could prop open, but it was rainy, so we were worried about things getting wet. Also, the seagulls are freakishly loud. Louder than the pubs late at night. But that’s not the staff’s or hotels fault! Overall, we had a good time and would still recommend this place. But not to anyone who is a very light sleeper, such as myself.
