We ran to the Liffey each morning for our workouts, and Phoenix Park for long runs. There are plenty of pubs, so each afternoon we enjoyed kicking back and talking with the locals. Our host offered good info on getting the express bus from the airport to the Wellington Quay stop, which is a 12-minute walk away. My advice is that if you use this express bus and pay for a return trip, to get back to the airport, walk across the Liffey to the Ormond Quay stop to avoid the turnaround, which adds about 15-20 minutes to the trip. Finally, we rented a car from Enterprise, which is in the car park about 2 blocks from the apartment, and drove out into the countryside for a couple of days. Terrifying as it is to drive on the wrong side of the road, everyone should do it at least once in your life. As for the apartment, it's small but tidy, and if anything goes amiss, the hosts respond right away and help you sort it out. ##### Ellen M. Kitchen was outfitted well. Minimal noise in the evenings from pubs/streets. Could use a rack to help dry clothes. Lovely to have elevator access for luggage. Taxis are easy to locate a block away, but there is also a taxi stand by Stephens Green which is a short walk (9 mins). We relied on the taxi stand when leaving to the airport, which reduced stress.
