I stay at the Maldron Smithfield every year. It's clean, comfortable and quiet. The rooms with balconies have a nice view of the skyline. Car park nearby. One of the best Irish music bars in town is across the street, good cinema and grocery next door, and Luas gets you downtown in ten minutes, or it's an easy walk. Will gladly stay again.

Nice convenient location. Polite, helpful staff.. Walkable to where we needed to go and to shops and restaurants. Breakfast was great though not sure what the difference was between full breakfast (which we pays for) and buffet as it appeared to be the latter. Had to request room clean, otherwise not done. Overall, happy with our stay.

Very convenient location, close to public transit and lots of dining/entertainment within walking distance. We especially loved our evening across the street at The Cobblestone for a great traditional Irish music session.

The Maldron Smithfield was in a great location. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant was good. The only downside was no wine glasses or fridge in the room. There was also no AC and it was very warm at night with the small fan provided not sufficient to cool the 4 of us. Overall though great stay and I would go back if in the area again.

Didn't receive proper VIP credit - food was very mediocre and staff seemed to be conflicted with itself - as to when we could eat. Was okay overall - but definitely missed the mark

Hotel was great only issue was on the evening on our floor there seemed to be a group of people constantly moving from room to room. Doors banging until after midnight very annoying when trying to sleep. Other than that hotel was great,clean and friendly staff.

Comfortable family stay
We stayed for 4 days at this hotel as a family. Our stay was good overall. We did show up at 6am on 12/27 due to an overnight flight, and the hotel wasn't open, after I had been told it was open 24/7 to receive us when I emailed ahead of time. Apparently it hadn't re-opened yet after Christmas. A nice employee let our family wait in the lobby thankfully since it was freezing & raining out and nothing in the area was open. We were allowed an early check in and I was very grateful for that. The staff were kind and helpful everytime dealing with them. The Junior Suite was very comfortable both times we stayed (Rooms 607 & 609).

Good value for money & Great location
It's a great hotel. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. The self check in pods are a life saver if you're a bit anxious with that sort of thing. The room was excellent, just slight issues but nothing major. Location is fantastic with easy access to the luas and Heuston station. Would highly recommend!

Really Nice
I enjoyed my night in this hotel so much that I immediately booked a further two nights there. Hotel is really clean and comfortable. The staff are very helpful and nice. Location is excellent. Overall, I was very happy with the Maldron Hotel, Smithfield.

Nice hotel, Smithfield is a little away from the city centre but it’s walkable and there’s a bus and tram stop nearby.

The hotel staff was very nice and allowed us to check in a little early since our room was ready. The overall condition of the hotel and connected parking garage was clean. Although the parking garage was close, it was not initially obvious where it was; you had to drive around the block. I had to awkwardly park while my partner ran in to ask where we were supposed to park. Also, the hotel was not able to advise how much the parking was and whether we would actually need to validate the ticket or not. Thankfully, we didn't validate it as it would have committed us to pay $18 Euro, because it was the weekend and we only had to pay $9. This was not the biggest deal in the world, just something that the hotel may do a little better on informing people on. The only other issue was the toilet didn't flush well. I told the front desk that it was not flushing, and they said that they would fix it while we went out for the evening; unfortunately, the problem continued.

The staff at this hotel were lovely, and while the peoperty itself was clean and eco-friendly, it was barely heated — in November. The bathroom shower was also strangely treacherously designed. Not recommended for anyone with any mobility issues whatsoever — we’re young wnd able-bodied and almost fell multiple times.

Not a four-starred hotel due to the lack of amenities (no gym, no business centre, no room service, no fridge in the room, no toiletries, etc.) but decent and clean rooms. The room I had faced the main plaza and it gets noisy at night with drunken and homeless people roaming around. The wifi is very weak and not reliable. I won't recommend it for business travel.

Nice stay
Our stay was nice. Just a few things to be aware of: No air conditioning, which usually isn't needed, however we happened to be there during a heat wave in Ireland which is unusual. The location is a bit sketchy, didn't feel entirely safe walking the streets.
