Lovely staff, great location, great facilities. Good locker space. Comfortable beds. You do get woken up by a train going past the window.

Great location. Friendly staff. Nice little continental breakfast. Quite noisy late at night as the pub crowd returns so take some earplugs. Otherwise great stay.

The rooms were large and clean. I like that there was a bathroom and shower for two units hidden. Our unit was completely full but still no one had to really wait for the bathrooms. Cramped shower but it worked for me, maybe not if you’re really tall. Close to everything and you just walk everywhere. Not too much food choices around but if you walk 10 minutes or so, you are in a good place for it. I would stay again.

I Really Like This Hostel
There is so much good food left behind and marked “free” to future travelers just for the taking. This food is not only In baskets on the counter tops, but marked in refrigerators as well. This is a welcome tide-me-over until one can get to a market in the mean time and a thoughtful gesture as well. Very appreciated.

Everything was great, although I do wish there was a door and not a curtain on the entry way to the female showers. Other than that, it was impeccable service.

Great social areas. Was extremely clean, cleaners attended to all the bathrooms etc every day. Staff were friendly and great amenities in the kitchen!

Second time staying within two weeks. Great experience both times! Staff is super helpful, nice, funny, sweet.. can’t say enough positive things about them! •well run •clean •updated •I felt safe! I was even happy with the folks I shared a room with... considerate and respectful. In other words, they acted like adults! Will stay again when I’m next in Dublin!

Lovely hostel to stay in. Nothing bad to say apart from the fact that the rooms were far too warm! Had trouble sleeping as there was no cool air flow. Air conditioning???

My laptop was stolen out of my bag from my bed. They have lockers in the basement but you have to pay a few euros each day...I guess it would have been worth it. I ended up spending quite a lot of time at the police station up the street trying to get a police report. The staff was very helpful about it and reviewed the security cameras.

Typical hostel in a great location
It is a busy place with people from all over the world. The doors slam so it was a bit loud. Bring ear plugs which if you forget they sell for 50cents. It is a very convenient location for walking everywhere and the train and bus. The staff are very friendly and there’s a mini breakfast that can give you a good start to the day. Options for a free walking tour and evening €12 pub crawl daily. It was a heat wave so for me the 3rd floor was very hot but they had 2 fans in the room.

More bad than good
The hostel was in a great location and the staff was friendly and helpful. The beds are old metal bunks and extremely loud and uncomfortable. The push buttons in the shower last 1.2 seconds which makes showering a chore. The downstairs area and the kitchen have a horrid stench that I couldn't stand. Finally, the rooms themselves were unbearable hot. Good enough for a night, but not any longer.

Overall the hostel is okay. However, unless you are a night owl who closes down the pubs and are okay with drunkard youth coming in at 3-430am, slamming doors, yelling, screaming and horsing around, all while not getting any sleep, you probably won't enjoy it here. The staff are very nice and helpful if you have questions about sightseeing, money exchange, etc.

You get what you pay for
I went for a 3 night stay at the hostel with my friend, the two of us were in a shared dorm of 3 bunk beds. The standards of cleanliness were not brilliant; the floors were dirty, in particular under the beds had clearly not been cleaned in a while as we stored our luggage under there out of the way, and when we removed them they were covered in dust and hairs. There were miscellaneous stains on the walls and the mattreseses - especially unsettling was the top bunk to which was blood stained all over! Every time you walked past our toilet and shower area there was a smell of damp/sewage. The beds themselves were very uncomfortable; you were only supplied with one, very thin pillow however as the rooms were uncomfortably warm I was able to use my duvet and fashion into a second pillow! Suffice to say you do not get an excellent nights sleep. The key cards for door entry were a constant issue, having to return to the front desk a few times as they kept deciding not to work so we could not get in. Breakfast was a little lack lustre, although I understand is provided as a cheap and cheerful part of the service - only bread/toast and cereal on offer. Could the budget possibly stretch to some fruit? And we understand it may be considered early to some; but staff manning breakfast always looked miserable! The hostels only redeeming features were the front desk staff! Very knowledgeable and always happy to help, nothing was too much trouble! And the location of the hostel itself!

Good hostel close to amenities
Close to transport and the shops. Every thingame you could need is close by. Staff are very helpful. Pubcrawl was amazing met some really nice people and had loads of fun. Would recommend this hostel.

Very good hostel in a good location .
I was very impressed with my stay . The staff were very friendly and helpful . Check in was easy and the room was simple but comfortable . The breakfast was excellent as well ,The location was very ggod . An easy walk to the city centre , bus and train stations .

It's in a really good location. The bus stop/ train is just around the corner. It was clean and there was a light cont breakfast in morning. The staff was very very helpful. Free walking tour of Dublin sights was awesome!!!

It was a hostel but we had a small room for my wife and I. There wasn't much room to move around in but was clean and the double bed was comfortable. It was on a lane in town but the one lane looked a little seedy. We didn't go out after dark. The restroom and shower were shared by all on our floor but that wasn't a big problem.

Myself and my sister stayed at Issacs hostel for three nights, first time ever staying in a hostel as I am in my 60s and my sister in her 50s,didnt know what to expect, but was pleasently surprised by our stay. Really helpful staff andall the young people staying there were so polite.Stayed in lots of hotels in my life[both expensive and cheap] and I would recommend this hostel amongst one of my favourite stays,. Dublin hostel
I had a problem with this hostel because I did not sleep; which is was vital for a traveler especially on day 1 with jet lag. No only was there no soap or paper towels in the lady's bathroom for the entire period of our stay... but it was hot (on May 1st, not a very hot time of year, but hot room and hostel...), there were no in room lockers or storage, and the building is essentially attached to the public train, or tram. It went by during the day between every 5 to 8 minutes, and during the night was less frequent. It was extremely loud, and the building (at least on the 4th floor) would shake slightly as it went by. The staff was amazing, pleasant, and helpful when relevant.
