Location: Balls bridge. Close to Aviva stadium, restaurants and RDS.
We spent 2 nights here last week. The location is very central and neighborhood is very pleasant. Herbert park is just down the road. The staff are great and the rooms are very comfortable. Breakfast was perfect. We dined in the Lounge and that was good too. Overall we were very happy with out stay and will be back.

Not a 5 star hotel

Posted 20-Oct-2016
Pros: Service and food in the bar, and checkin was efficient.
Cons: Inconsistent staff quality, need to repair rugs, clean dishes for guests!
Upon arriving, parking was very limited.mthe check-in process was a breeze. The carpet in the hallway outside the room was threadbare, ripped in several places. The room was lovely, and well furnished. The bathroom layout was nice-separate toilet area, and both a shower and a tub. The food and service at the ar were superb, with gluten free options. The breakfast was a disappointment. To start, the hot water cauldron for teas had water with black flakes of material. The food was placed in too compact an area. The dishes at the buffet were dirty.mThe servers were not the "A" team as expected, and provided little service for a buffet. For the money, we had much better experiences throughout Ireland in other hotels at far less cost. For this hotel to improve, attention to detail is needed. I have stayed at Intercontinental hotels in many cities, and this did not meet the standards I expected.

Very comfortable

Nice hotel with extremely comfortable bed and nice rooms. Loved the bathtub. Location is outside of town with need for cab rides to get downtown but only a five minute walk to the dart station.

Very nice Hotel close to the city centre

Posted 23-Aug-2016
Pros: Service and amenities
Cons: Classic rooms need updating Outside area of swimming pool needs attention fountain not working table and chairs not cleaned and door rotten at bottom
Location: Close to city centre Good location for Airport Buses
First impressions very good, greeted at the entrance nice lunch and room ready on time. Room ok but had to get room service up to re-clean bathroom. Lots of marks on one wall. Light bulbs on two lamps flickering as if bulb was about to go. Had room service for a breakfast one morning. Food was ok but when we came to pay there was a carry up charge of £4.50?? We did query this as we did not see this charge when ordering and were told it was possibly in the small print but definitely there, just thought they could have forgone this charge as it was not clear? Overall ok but as this was a FIVE STAR Hotel we expected more from the room? Service very good friendly staff.

Beautiful hotel

Great, quiet location. The jump on and off bus stop is just across the street in this residential area. Loved it in every aspect. The bed was heaven after a long day touring.

Recenct Stay

Great hotel, this is the second time I have stayed in the hotel. The only negative comment I can make is about breakfast, this is the first I had breakfast in the hotel with my children, the restaurant and food was great, where I was seated was really nice but spoilt by the fact that 3 business people were sat next to us and were on there mobile phones on speaker mode either talking or watching videos throughout breakfast, they showed no consideration for others in the restaurant, other guests were commenting also and looked on in amazement? not one member of staff asked them to at least turn them down? the menu also states they would prefer people not to use their phones out of respect for others.

Especially beautiful interior and grounds, the hotel is former Four Seasons. Try to get a renovated room.

Room was very comfortable and staff was very responsive and nice. The number of staff seemed lower that I would expect at a 5 star hotel. For example, the counter staff also served as concierge and turn-down service was not provide unless requested.
