Lovely safe street in a gorgeous part of the city.

We loved the gorgeous, spacious room we stayed in. The bathroom was amazing in particular.

Great place to stay

Posted 18-Jul-2017
Pros: I liked the proximity of this hotel to do things and the great staff.
Cons: Softer pillows.
Location: This hotel is within walking distance to Iveagh Gardens, St. Stephens Green, Grafton street for shopping, pubs and restaurants, & more!
I enjoyed my stay. The hotel staff were very helpful and kind. They called a taxi for me, gave me information, and were very accommodating. The location is in Dublin and very walkable to places. It was at a good price as staying in city center is much more expensive. I preferred to be outside of city center. There were a lot of seagulls outside that were loud off and on, but nothing the hotel could do anything about! The pillows were a little hard, but bed was comfy.

Hotel near city center

Posted 12-Jul-2017
Pros: Location near city center and the desk staff.
Cons: Bathroom plumbing.
Location: City center and shopping center within half mile.
Very helpful staff and hotel relatively near city center. Unfortunately, hotel opposite several night clubs that had noisy patrons leaving in early morning hours. Bathroom facilities need modernizing. Overall, a reasonably priced and comfortable hotel.

Nice hotel, great location.

Posted 11-Jul-2017
My boyfriend and I had a lovely stay here in Harrington Hall. The location is perfect as just a short walk away from the centre of town. Unfortunately during our entire stay we had a festival going on in the park behind the hotel, which was extremely loud and went on until the early hours of the morning, making getting to sleep difficult. We were welcomed by a delightful member of staff on our arrival who was very helpful in showing us how to get out and about using public transport. Unfortunately we did not see her again and the other members of staff were not quite so welcoming, but perhaps this was just as we were greeted so nicely on arrival we had higher expectations. Their breakfast was not as impressive as we were led to believe it would be, and rather expensive compared to where other pubs and cafes were selling the same for more food at a better price. The Metro Cafe was wonderful for breakfast and we ate there for our last few days. It's just a short walk away from the hotel.

Great staff! Pick room carefully due to noise.

Posted 08-Jul-2017
Pros: Very professional staff, great beds and baths.
Cons: Add air conditioning.
Location: Just a few blocks from the main shopping.
1st night the room was very hot since it was on the third floor, Dublin was in the middle of a heat wave (75F, really?). Could not open windows due to the very loud nightclub across the street. They keep us awake until 3:00 am. Talked to staff and they moved us to a very nice room on the back side of building on the 1st floor. Quite and very comfortable, but no view. The only real view was over the busy street and nightclubs. I can't say enough about the staff, they moved all our luggage while we were out for the day. And on our last day we checked out at noon and they stored our luggage while we went to a museum before we got a taxi to airport.

Nice hotel in a great location

Posted 01-Jul-2017
The hotel is in a great location which is a short walk to most attractions. The pub/ club across the road could be a bit loud at night, it might be quieter with the window closed but it was too warm to do that whilst we were there. The room was nice although a bit hard to keep cool in hot weather despite the window being open and the ceiling fan on. The staff were very friendly, helpful and informative, couldn't speak highly enough of them. Would definitely stay there again, hopefully not in such freak weather conditions.

Dated and Mildewy

Posted 29-Jun-2017
The staff is excellent, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. But, the room had decor pillows were falling apart, bathroom smelled mildewy and desk was a hall entryway table. I expect European hotels to have character vs a sterile chain hotel but this was out of character. The location is great and I couldn't have asked for a nicer check in and check out process.

4 Stars? No way.

Posted 30-May-2017
Pros: Convenient location.
Cons: See above.
We were welcomed by a pleasant staff member and went to our room which we found very small but clean, and in need of new carpet. The room was far too warm to be comfortable, but we were unable to adjust the temperature. There also was no air conditioning so we had to open the one small window that did open, to get any air. The hotel is close to a bar, and the noise from the bar kept up awake until the early hours of the morning when the bar closed. The next morning we complained about the noise and were given a different room, which was larger and a more comfortable temperature. However, once again the noise from the bar went on all night and into the morning hours. We did not close the window because the room would have been too hot and stuffy. The hotel boasts 5 stars on the front door, but with soap in a dispenser on the wall, worn carpet around the edges, and lack of temperature control in the room, this is not like any 4 or 5 star hotel I have stayed in. Unless you are one of the revelers at the bar, I do not recommend a stay at this hotel.

Good location; easy to walk to spots of interest.

Posted 07-May-2017
Pros: Location; spacious room and bath.
Cons: It's older and getting close to a bit long in the tooth...but not there yet.
Location: Easy to walk to Trinity College and many spots of interest.
Good location; spacious room. Everything worked. Parking is limited, but we got a spot! Free parking is a real find. Bit noisey on weekend...street is scene of many clubs.
