We got warm cookies on arrival. The hotel was really pretty and the room was beautiful. It was clean and the bed was so comfortable. The girls on reception were just lovely. We loved it.

Beautiful, clean hotel great location.

Posted 04-Apr-2016
Pros: I liked the cleanliness, the helpfulness of the staff and the central location of the hotel.
Cons: There is really nothing that could be improved in my opinion.
Location: The hotel is centrally located to most everything. It is located on a bus line, which makes moving around easier if you did not rent a car.
Our stay at the Double Tree was great. The hotel is located in a very central location, close to everything. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. We had a little problem with a toilet that was "running" throughout the night. The next day, we mentioned it to a cleaning woman in the hallway and when we returned to the room later in the day, no more problem. I did not expect such fast service on such a little matter. There is nothing bad I can say about the hotel at all. Everyone was wonderful and everything was great. We ate in the restaurant on site and the food was very good, also. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is staying in the Dublin area.

Excellent

Was somewhat expensive (stayed two nights over St Patricks day though) and disappointed to discover on arrival that breakfast wasn't included, however, our stay was an absolute pleasure. Staff were excellent, facilities are great and the breakfast was tremendous. Can not recommend highly enough!

Efficient hotel.

Posted 14-Mar-2016
Pros: Staff were friendly. Very clean.
Cons: Air conditioning would have helped as we were there during an unusually warm March. Difficult to say what else, as it had little atmosphere.
Location: Dublin is wonderful lots to do. Hotel is in a lovely area but a bit of a walk to town, if doing it a few times per day.
This hotel lacks any character. Average plus pricing. We had to move from a room at the front due to the noise from banks of fans above the reception area. Bedrooms on lower floors don't have air conditioning so we either had to stifle in heat or open window to noise from fans. Hotel did move us quickly to another room. A bit of a walk into town. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Lovely hotel, great breakfast and bar facilities.

Posted 14-Mar-2016
Pros: Clean, nice staff, great breakfast
Cons: The outside noise (which to be fair is beyond the control of the hotel, but people need to know to be fair)
Location: Off Leeson Street - great pubs and restaurants (especially The Farm restaurant)
Lovely hotel, great breakfast and bar facilities. Shame about the huge, noisy building site at the back (which looks like it is going to be there for some time)

Welcoming hotel

Posted 13-Feb-2016
The hotel is very nice and staff helpful. It was easy to access from the airport with the express bus stopping ( and picking up) just outside and a taxi rank at the gate. Our room was a decent size and clean and comfortable. Breakfast was self service in a busy dining room, there was a good choice and eggs were cooked to order. The reason for the low grading was that we stayed on a night on which there was a function in the main hall and while we did not hear any noise from this and got to sleep easily we were wakened around 2 am by a lot of noise from the carpark below us. As this went on for some time we eventually investigated and discovered that there was a loading bay below our room (308) and all the dismantled staging from the event was being loaded into 3/4 lorries. After 3 we rang reception to see if the noise would be soon over and we were offered a different room but in the middle of the night we did not think this was a realistic option. It eventually ceased about 3.30 am. We would stay here again but check if there was a function on beforehand and if so ask for a room not over the carpark.
