    5/5 Excellent

The property has two large bedrooms with double beds. One with an en-suite. 4 of us stayed at this property for 3 nights, and we would happily go back. Excellent location and easy to get to. The only downside was that the windows could do with updating in the larger bedroom, as it faces the street with a bar below, so we were kept awake each night (take some earplugs if you want a good night sleep). Also, the drains in the ensuite smelt of rotten eggs, so we had to keep the bathroom door shut at all times to contain the smell. Other than this everything was perfect and we are already talking about when to book again. There's no where to leave your luggage after checkout, but there's a shop a few minutes walk away that charges €5 per case per day

    Weekend away

Group of 8 of us stayed for the weekend. Was the most affordable place for us for the weekend. 2 decent bedrooms, nice bathrooms, and two double pull out does beds. Really good location for temple bar, is rather noisy, but you won't find anything in this area that isn't. The apartment is on a side street, so host came and met us on the main road. Was easy for us to get in touch with him. Would happily go back and stay here again.

    Overpriced and noisy

Disappointing from the outset, the property had clearly just had a party which had only just been cleaned up. Positioned and priced as luxury, it is better characterised as basic. It is quite spacious and light but to sleep 8 this requires two couples to sleep on sofabeds in the lounge, where proper blackout blinds should be fitted. The main issue though is the noise from street revelllers which continued through till 3-30am at the weekend, and then started again at 8-30 when the stage door for the adjacent theatre was used by a gang of roadies to move an entire production in on ramps and trolleys. Without double-glazing this was all very intrusive. We requested a washing up bowl or sink plug which was twice promised and not delivered, so washing up was tricky! Basic maintenance needs doing, so that everything works properly. In fairness, linens were clean and plentiful and the beds comfortable but this property is not suitable for a family group with children.Perhaps we should have been aware that this part of Dublin is all about the local drinking scene, but we are first-time visitors and feel this should be made much clearer before booking.
