We love the hotel, food, a room really nice. Just a shower head push button wasn’t working. We ok with that for one night.

It was a nice stay but Expedia platinum member is not well recognized I booked this hotel because it was a VIP hotel. I did not get any perks like other ViP hotels no early check in and only late check out at 2pm.
They should be better with platinum Expedia members as we booked it because of perks

Pre our arrival I enquired about their shuttle service from the airport as we arrived at 1am … there is none I was told but can arrange pickup for 130AED (£28) … seemed high for a 5 min drive so declined. We took a taxi from Terminal 1 - 28AED (£6). The next day asked about a taxi to gold soul - they don’t have taxis at hotel but can take one of their 4x4 …asked doorman how much - 50AED (£11), I said ok … he told driver.
Caught taxi back to hotel 28AED (£6). In evening we hailed a taxi passing to take us out.
On our 6am departure there were no taxis about … asked their driver how much to Terminal 3 - 50AED (£11) I said the taxi only charged us £28 - he said ok 30AED … we agreed on 25AED … you need to negotiate!!!I think it’s a bad reflection on the hotel….
The rooms are large and quite dated and the bathroom had a shower in the bath with discoloured grouting… definaty needs updating for a 5 Star hotel.
We only stayed here because it was near the airport and got a good deal through Expedia - would recommend staying next door at the Meridian… much nicer hotel and better rooms.

The hotel is undergoing a well deserved renovation. We were disappointed that there wasn’t a safe in the room. We had wonderful service and a great Wagyu beef hamburger in the cozy bar adjacent to the steak restaurant.

There’re were renovations going on in the pool area so it was very loud during the day and the pool area was less than appealing. In the evening they had very loud music in the lobby until late and since all rooms gave the lobby it was very loud. They told me I got a room upgrade with a balcony but it was directly facing the pool construction site so it was very loud and you could use the balcony. There were no USB chargers in the room and nighttime reception staff were incredibly unhelpful finding a suitable adaptor to charge any electronics during my layover.

Property was beautiful to look at and clean! Staff was very helpful. Lots of food options inside the property itself. The number of choices in (paid) buffet is mind boggling! And there are few restaurants at walkable distance (5 mins) too. Mahec Indian restaurant is 5 mins walk. It is very close the DXB airport, about 10 min ride.
Bath tub was weird. Bath tub door only closes half of the bath tub area. So water falls out of the tub during bath no matter how careful you are. Seems like all Movenpick bath tubs are built like this (even the one in Amsterdam, where we stayed in another trip, was like this).

Unless you want to go to airport in 5 min don’t stay here. Nothing near by. We couldn’t go to get any food or walk around ( too hot due to summer season)) and everything was far away
The guys managing pool and the life guard were rude asked me repeatedly whether I knew swimming . Despite I’m telling them several times they kept asking. Are you sure? Very embarrassing moment !

Well planed hotel with specious rooms and elegant set up, the staff is more than excellent. Yet hotel is well maintained but old style bathrooms and outdated power in rooms as hotel has many years constructed

Great relaxing hotel . Food was excellent and the rooms were spacious. Cannot speak highly enough of staff who were all courteous friendly and helpful.
Special commendation for reception staff who far and beyond to make you feel welcome and they went far and beyond to assist with their help and assistance. I would rate the reception staff as one of the best in the world
