Modern Hotel city center

Posted 25-Jul-2017
This is a good hotel but not to the standards and excellence of any other w hotel I have stayed in. If you are looking for a centric , hip , modern hotel, with comfortable rooms this is the hotel for you. Expect everything else to do it yourself- from carrying your own luggage to express check out. If you are looking for that extra service and attention of the Peninsula in New York or the Carlyle Hotel, this is not for you. M. Cruz Miami, FL

Great hotel, great location.

Posted 25-Jul-2017
Pros: Very nice staff, and great location.
Cons: More modern decorations.
Location: The location was awesome for us. Just a black from the Link metro line, few blocks from Pikes Market Place and many other attractions.
We enjoyed our stay. Nothing bad to report, yet I find myself not allowing 5 stars. When we think of the "W", we think fancy, and modern. This hotel was neither. Although it was very clean and a good environment.

Great location but badly in need of a remodel!

Posted 24-Jul-2017
Pros: Location is great and the staff could not have been any nicer or more enthusiastic!
Cons: Lobby/common areas - design swing and miss!
Location: Close to the waterfront. Check out Purple Wine Bar across the street
The staff at this W could not have been nicer. That being said the actual hotel looks like it was part of a bad design competition and the loser got to design this hotel. It looks like a really bad craft shop explosion. The rooms just miss with the furnishings and the building is of sub par construction. You can hear everything from your neighbors to anything on the street (we were on the 12th Floor). The actual dining area/bar is connected to the smallish lobby and lacks any character other than the above mentioned disaster. The club vibe and blasting music felt a bit desperate. I was shocked that it was a W based on the lobby area. The expense of remodeling this craft project nightmare would be well worth the expense

Great place to stay to see downtown Seattle

Posted 12-Jul-2017
Pros: The design and the rooms
Cons: Maybe add some classy vending machines for bottled water.
Location: Downtown Seattle. Walking distance from Pikes Market and Seattle Aquarium. There's also a pretty big Walgren's on the way if you forgot anything.
We booked a cruise out of Seattle and decided to stay here the night before ship set sail. This hotel is in a great place of downtown Seattle with lots of shopping and eats within walking distance. We also walked right past the street that takes you down to Pike's Place and were bummed we didn't have time to visit so, hotel is in a great location if you want to visit the piers. When we checked in, a wedding party was going on in the lounge so it was a little loud but it was a fun atmosphere and the desk clerk did his best to move things along nicely. He offered to sign us up for their rewards program so we agreed and I love the fact that it connects to Marriott's points. The 2 rooms I booked for us and the kids were very nice, clean, with great amenities. The gym was perfect for our needs with lots of cardio equipment and a very nice universal machine. Didn't have time to check out other facilities but we had breakfast in their restaurant and it was a very nice, upscale presentation and tasted wonderful. Most 4 star plus hotels in Seattle will run you btwn 250-350 per night so this place was right in the middle of that range and made getting to the cruise ship parking areas very easy. My wife and I would love to come back and stay for just a weekend in Seattle getaway.

W Seattle offers great location and convenience

Posted 10-Jul-2017
Pros: Location, comfort, luxury.
Cons: I like to receive my checkout invoice in suite the night before departure and the W still makes you come to the front desk.
Location: The property is located within walking distance of restaurants and water front attractions.
The W Seattle is a great place to stay for leisure and business. We took the light rail from SeaTac and walked a block to our hotel. The staff is friendly and the rooms are nicely appointed and comfortable. The property is located within walking distance of restaurants and water front attractions.

W Seattle not worth it!

Posted 09-Jul-2017
For the amount of money they charge, the beds are cramped- FULL size! They don't even have queen size beds. The cleaning staff is horrible, barely speaks English and outright rude. Expedia sold room for four with breakfast and parking included which they refused to honor.

Centrally located with nice staff but no views

Posted 14-Jun-2017
Pros: Location
Cons: Bedding
Location: A few blocks from Pike's market.
Despite requesting and paying for a room with a view of Elliot Bay, I was placed in a room on the 23rdthat looked out into the building across the street.
