Nice inexpensive hotel in downtown Sac.

Posted 18-Oct-2017
Pros: I liked the location and the double queen beds were very great.
Cons: A little remodel of the bathrooms would be nice.
Location: Walking distance to most downtown attractions.
Nice inexpensive hotel if need to be in the downtown area. We were attending the convention center so we walked like 3 blocks. Had continental breakfast in the small reception/lobby area, regular fare with coffee, OJ, cereal, toast and danishes.

Carpet was filthy

Posted 03-Oct-2017
No restaurants or bars nearby. The carpet needs to be cleaned. Our feet and sock were filthy from waking on it.

Inexpensive, But Reasonable

Posted 23-Sep-2017
Pros: Centrally located, and easy to get to.
Cons: Not that the owners can do much about it. But, Sacramento has a lot of homeless people. Citywide.
Location: Centrally located. Easy to get to, and out of.
I had little interaction with the staff. Just during check in and check out. So, can't speak about them. My room was ready when I got there. The room is simple, but clean enough. I had no noise complaints from the road, nor from other people staying there. And, I always find it difficult to sleep in any bed other than my own. I could never figure out the free WiFi. So, if that's important to you, be aware. I had to park on the street on the Saturday due to the motel's lot being full. The motel is centrally located. I may stay there again if I go up to visit my friend, which was one of the reasons for the trip. Not that the owners can do much about it, but Sacramento has a lot of homeless people. If you are freaked out by that, consider staying at another hotel or motel. Somewhere with secure parking, and rooms within the building. Which would mean you have more money to spend than someone who would stay at this motel.

Spend the extra buck elsewhere

Posted 30-Aug-2017
This wasn't the best experience at all. It's centrally located, but it's not the cleanest. The linens and towels had a funky smell and the shower had mold. If you need to stay here, bring your own sheets and prepare for the economical choice.

Price, Location, Provision - I'll Return!

Posted 27-Aug-2017
Pros: Superb location, great price, clean and efficient! Parking was good.
Cons: Really... nothing needed improvement.
Location: Visit the capital. Visit the CalifornIAMuseum. Take Uber places. Walk about!
Three different weeks I have had work in downtown Sacto this year. One week I spent at a luxury hotel right on the capital mall. One week I spent at a discount motel near this one. And one week I spent here at the Econolodge. Of the three, for the price and what I needed (a bed, a shower, a refrigerator, and the microwave was nice), this was perfect. Friendly staff. Decent Continental Breakfast. Effective air conditioning. Good spacing of residents - no disturbances, nor did I worry about disturbing others. Clean, neat. No frills. Fantastic price point for all that.

Convenient, basic lodging

Posted 23-Aug-2017
We have chosen this EconoLodge several times because it is in downtown Sacramento and meet our needs for 1-night stay just before or after flights from or to Sacramento airport.

if you the smell of smoke

Posted 22-Aug-2017
Pros: where it was
Cons: the smell and beds
Location: it was by the music hall I was going to be at. and some bars.
Ill just say, if you smoke, this place is for you. right when I walked in the room, that was the only thing you can smell. Bed was cheap, hard, and felt crunchy. This place was only good due it was a block away from where I needed to be so I could get drunk and stumble to my room. And being drunk was the only way I could deal with the smell. If you plan to stay here, I would say one night is long enough.

The carpet in the room left our feet really dirty so we told the manager; he was really friendly and immediately organised to shampoo the carpets because the whole hotel was booked and we couldn't move to another room. I was impressed that they took it seriously and cared. The location was close to the convention which was perfect. But there was a lot of homeless people and trash on the street once you left the hotel.
