Check-in was great, was offered H2O and it was welcomed on the very hot wknd we were in town. Liked our room, it was clean and neat and the ice maker in the freezer worked quickly. The towels were a little rough and the bed was a bit lumpy, but we enjoyed our room. We were given a room on a high floor and it was very quiet and we loved that.
The shower gels/shampoo smelled so good! Loved that the shower curtain bar curved outward as it gave a much larger feel to the tub area. It was also nice to have the sink outside of the shower/toilet area.
Enjoyed having parking that required a cardkey for entry. We didn't have a problem finding a spot to park at night. The hotel is a very short walk from the transit pickup should you need that. We ended up driving to places we wanted to visit and it was really nice to have the flexibility of available parking when we returned. There is a surcharge for parking, but honestly that's an understood with hotels anymore and it's not as expensive a charge as the other hotels in the downtown area.
While the hotel may not look close to downtown on a map, it actually is, and it is also right next to Willamette river. The Oregon Beer festival was happening on the river while we were there and even so, it didn't make for rush hour like driving or an oversaturation of people.
We loved the location as it was a quick drive across the bridge to get to Pok Pok Wings.
