The hotel is at a relatively quiet location close to the downtown and near the sea promenade. The staff at the reception is friendly, accommodating and speaks good English.
The rooms and the public spaces are furnished in simple yet stylish design. Housekeeping does very good job keeping the rooms and the public spaces clean at all times.
The hotel seems newly renovated however some areas lack attention to detail in terms of maintenance.
Breakfast can definitely be improved by wider selection, better quality coffee, timely table clean up. This is one area that needs attention of the management.
Roof top terrace is not fully utilized. It could be turned into sun deck and/or roof top bar. At the time of my stay in the hotel it was just an empty space to walk around after breakfast. Pity for the nice view..
Really nice hotel. Clean rooms. Nice amenities. Really helpful and friendly staff. Really good breakfast. If you are staying there 1/2 nights the hotel is perfect. What I didn't like is the area. At night, there's not that much too do and it doesn't seem safe.
"Decent place to stay but lacking in a few areas."
Staff very friendly. Room was acceptable. However we noticed the towels we left were occasionally not replaced by fresh ones. Also there was a significant mold problem on the ceiling of the bathroom which grew over the three days we were there indicating a water leak in the room above. The room was OK but showed that maintenance could have been a bit better on small things. Certainly worth the price and we would stay there again, but not for a longer time.
Was good location, close to all eat outs and easily accessible. friendly staff, lot of options for sightseeing, all you have to do it just inform the guys in reception what you would like to do and it is taken care off in a very professional way. I was suggested for el milangon show and it was worth paying a visit. very good spread of breakfast
Good and confortable room, mattress, pillows... Wifi doesn't work properly, very bad. The hotel is very old and "tired". Should perform a refurbishment. Breakfast very poor.
I would consider other hotels for future stay in Montevideo.
Fitness facilities didn't work.
The capital of Uruguay is a lively city and justifiably popular with tourists. Sleek new architecture like the futuristic airport sits easily alongside the faded colonial splendor of the old town, while the city's cultural life is exemplified by its many bars, clubs and theatres. Stroll along the Rambla at sunset, sip a cocktail at a beach bar, or tuck into a chivito--the local sandwich.
