I was greeted by a lovely person, I think his name was Lee who was very friendly to my family including my toddler and baby. After a long trip in the car this was a very pleasant start to the reservation.
We opened the door to our family room for the first time and it was absolutely freezing. We assumed the cleaning team left a window open or something, but noticed that you couldn’t actually shut the window all the way (Additionally, there was a lot of noise from the car park below which woke my toddler up at 6.30am, as the broken window issue was not resolved)
After speaking with Jamie about the issue, the solution was to ‘give it a good slam’ and offered me a portable heater for the room and let him know the outcome. If it was me and my partner, we wouldn’t have thought twice about it and continued with our reservation, but in the winter season with two kids under two, we couldn’t just let it slide.
After slamming the window we noticed that the handle spins 360 degrees and isn’t connected to anything inside the window mechanism. I spoke to Jamie about this and being late into the evening with all guests and family rooms booked, he could only offer us two twin rooms which was not a possibility with my family. I declined the offer as it was late at night and trying to put our kids to bed was priority. We just wanted to get some rest. Very grateful for the heater which helped a lot but it shouldn’t have been an issue in the first place if they maintained their rooms
