Hello, thank you for taking the time to respond. You did visit during an extreme cold snap with snow. We do have heaters in the room. As the hotel was built in 1902 and is a national historic landmark and was built during the horse and buggy days, the parking lot is at most a 3 minute walk to the front desk. Larger hotels with big parking lots or even Wallmart will take longer to reach the door.

The Copper Queen Hotel opened in 1902 during the horse and buggy days. Because of this there is no designated hotel parking but there is a parking lot a 30 second walk away and a second one a 2 minute walk away. You make no mention of your room having the most beautiful and oldest painting in the hotel the 17th century piece 'Circle of Vasser' or the elegant Victorian cherry lamps and antique side tables in your room. We do have heat in the rooms and the entire hotel is beautifully restored. Our restaurant did happen to be closed on the day you arrived which you were informed upon check in, but decided to stay and use the room anyway. Our restaurant will be opening full time very soon and is currently open more than on 'just the weekend'

Thank you for your review of our property. We are in the middle of a restoration of this national historic landmark which includes removing the carpets in the hallways as and restoring the original wood flooring. There is no black tape on lobby floor tile. There is some missing tile in places as the floor is original Italian tile laid in 1902.
