Very friendly greeting when checking in. Room was compact but comfortable with a good sized shared bathroom facility. Was unable to try breakfast as I left early for work but would happily stay again.
Great Choice for what we paid!!let’s be honest £70 bed and breakfast for a Friday night in June you know pretty much what your going to get!!The room was small and tired with a shared bathroom lots of paintwork needed touching up could do with updating in lots of areas and general maintenance .That said good nights sleep in a comfy bed a good breakfast in the morning (not a fry up)cereals, toast, yogurt fruit with juices tea coffee etc.The entrance was very nice as was the breakfast room! The host was very nice and for the money I would go back
I visit Bournemouth 2 or 3 times a year, the Ravensbourne & it's twin next door, the Strand, are my go-to hotels. Very comfortable, good service, and good value for money.
Easy parking immediately outside the hotel, spacious and clean room. Decor a little outdated but that didnt matter for the little amount of time we spent in the room. Nice garden area for smokers. Perfect location for 02 Academy which was just a 4 minute walk away. We would have had breakfast if a cooked option was available. Would definitely stay there again.
Made to feel at home, very pleasant atmosphere with quiet stairs. The price of just over £40 was very nice indeed also well positioned in Bournemouth for whatever you need, excellent. Nothing to not like. Would definitely stay here again.
Building had tons of character. The room and bed were very comfy, the wi-fi worked great. The bath was shared but we were there off season so had the floor to ourselves. Bathroom was very clean and all amenities included. Was close to a lovely beach
The hotel was nice and clean and tidy. The staff were friendly and helpful the room we had was really comfortable and we even had a sofa which was good. The only thing that was not good was we had a hair in the bath that was definitely not ours.
Staff were brilliant very polite (Rowan). For room only hotel had facilities that pass expectation, nice bathroom, kitchen and fridge/freezer for guest use, fantastic garden. The hotel was clean and recently painted. But from the outside it shone like a gem in the grubby area of run down B&B’s! The area was the only down side.
Rowan met us at check in and was really polite and helpful, there was free sweets and nice cold drinks, and an offer to help with our luggage, everything was spotless and well organized, would definitely stay again.
the place is in dire need of renovation and modernization the furniture is dated and looks like 1950`s big bulky stuff that went out with the Ark. the bathroom was again desperate for modernization, the place reminds me of the little backstreet Blackpool lodgins B&B`s and not my cup of tea,do yourself a favour and for the same price stay in a bang upto date Premier inn clean modern and you dont keep wondering whose stayed there before you
Nice and clean hotel. Check in was easy with the guy at check in being extremely courteous and friendly.
Room was spacious and clean with everything in it you’d need for a short stay.
30 minute walk into Bournemouth and £12 taxi back.
Shared toilet and shower appeared to be for 3 rooms but place was full and I never bumped into anyone else when using it. All nice and clean and shower warm and powerful.
Great little find for a reasonably priced short stay. Will use again.
Was a lovely place to say, checked in early and was given a upgraded room from single twin to double twin. Staff was very polite and helpful.
Perfect for distance for The Legends Festival @ kings park we went to. Would recommend if staying in Boscombe.
The hotel is located close (5 min walk) to the beach and Bournemouth is also reachable via foot (~45min) without problem. Parking is directly in front of the hotel, however, there are only six space. We were lucky as we got the last parking space when arriving. The room was good and there were enough spare bathrooms available so we never had to wait for our shower or a visit to the toilet. There breakfast is a cold buffet mostly sweet items and a bit of cheese. My partner was a bit sad as there was only soluble coffee available but ended up having a hot chocolate which he enjoyed.
The personnel is friendly enough and helpful for any questions. Overall for a one-night stay, not a bad choice.
Really nice place to stay , friendly owner , great value for money . Clean ,quiet a very short walk to the beach , miles from city centre . I would definitely visit again
